Have noticed two new media segments about the mariners in the past couple of days:
1. Extra Time by Andrew Clark - this will be on every Thursday on NBN news at around 6:45pm. Clarky gives us a behind the scenes look at what is happening with the Mariners every week. As usual Mrdja was the clown.
2. What the hell is Lawrie saying? - on 2GO. They play a snipet of Lawrie McKinna speaking at a press conference and listeners have to ring in and state what Lawrie is saying word for word in order to win the prize. Very funny.

Very funny. tops on both counts. get the names out there, get that little feel of 'celebrity' about the players and coaching staff. wish i lived on the coast though, i'd (well most of us who've listened to the man for the last few years would) be able to ace the 'what the hell is lawrie saying' bit.

Hey Mick, you'd have to tee it up one day, to have Fergie ring up and try answer what Lawrie is saying......one Scotsman answering another Scotsman would have the folks checking their radio to see if they had switched over to SBS! ;D

I was on ABC radio again this morning and Scott Levi has asked me to be back next Friday morning to review the Brisbane game.
I had to disagree with him when he said that Tony Vidmar was one of the best defenders in the world. ;D
Looks like this might be a weekly thing for the Marinators.

Very funny. 2GO have just started a new competition today with listeners counting the bleats of sheep and if you guess correctly then you are awarded a family pass to the next home game of the Mariners against Perth on September 23. But then it gets better. All winners will then go into a draw and the winner will win 2 return tickets to Wellingon to watch the Mariners play against Wellington on October 21 as well as hotel accomodation and $500 spending money. Not a bad competition and worth winning I reckon. I just hope one of the EMO's of Bay 16 are not the lucky one's.
