Agree; when attendance was shown i remarked to those around me that 9000 is almost 50% of capacity, but the parts of the stadium we could see looked roughly 30% full.

I think the stadium holds 20000, give or take a few stretcher bearers. That being the case, 50 % is 10000, and that's a fair few people more (1000 to be exact, about 2 and a half GA bays full more) than the 9000 you are alluding to.

9000 is ~45% full. At any one time there are people moving around the stadium, in food/beer/toilet queues, and more than one-per-seat in bay 16. So yes, 9000 could easily appear much more than half-empty (or much less than half-full, depending on how you see it)
