I know this is a long way away at the moment, but believe me, it will come around a lot quicker than we think. Why have I started a thread on this game now?? * It's our one home game against Sydney this season, always our biggest crowd puller outside of Newcastle * It's on a Saturday night * It's on the first day of summer * 2000 travelling Cove at _least_. We should start planning something BIG for this game right now - I know it's strange, but I'm already fired up (farkin') for this game, and have been since the draw came out. I mean, can anything else fall into place better than what is already there?? _First day of summer_ ffs!!! Any ideas/suggestions?? I think we should really market this game to the non football community at large as well, promote the atmosphere and party aspect. There's no reason we couldn't sell this game out, surely??  |

I reckon right there is the theme of the day right there thanks to Druboy - beach party. Anyone object?? (it worked well in Season 1, even if it did rain - but if we started publicising this a month out I reckon everyone, even those outside of 16, would really get into it - just another part of the whole 'bond with the community' gear we've got going on) As for a Tifo - ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah. As for Dibo's birthday - pft. |

This was one of the games I most looked forward to when the draw was released.
I absolutely love home games against Sydney. It's a shame we only get 1 this year!

You must wander around behind the stands in the mankini - you might meet up with Les Murray (he had a flip out when he saw Froggy in bikini, imagine his horror if he saw you in that get up  ) Although, on reflection, I think it might look like Chewbacca in a mankini what with all your hair mate! ;D |

i love the whole beach theme, but not for a match as big as Sydney at home
we all need to be yellow, focused and in fine voice.
save it for some shit team like newcastle.

Mariners v Sydney - geez there's 12 games before then and 36 points up for grabs........focus should be on those IMO
Plus there's a pretty big game on October 7 that I'm looking forward to.

I meant from more of a "in the stands" perspective - just picture it DJ...... first day of summer, beautiful sunset, 30 degree day, stands packed to the rafters, travelling Cove in fine voice, Marinators taking up the challenge - couldn't think of any place I'd rather be. I honestly feel a game like this deserves the best it can get, and that's a sellout. ;D |

Besides, if we attract more people then hopefully the Cove won't outdo us...too much ;-) Nah, they outdo us in numbers, but we usually outdo them in the singing  Well, I can't think of anything better than a beach party... |
