Media reports coming out of Russia say Uncle Dick has an out clause and at best we have to wait to early December to find out if will come. The Russian media are very confident uncle Dick is staying put as four million tax free, champions league, and maybe Russian coach in the future may be a tat more tempting than OZ national coach.
I hope FFA have a plan B, assume on past performance they don’t, then again they could appoint Lawrie as the interim coach, given there could be four Mariners in the squad.
Over to you guys should we let Lawrie coach both Soccoroos and Mariners. ;D

EDIT- The only problem with Guus, is that his contract with Russia doesn't expire until June Next year.

Guus is not just in charge of the national team. He is basically doing what Baan is doing here i believe. Just with immense resources. He will not give up his chance to have a huge, lasting legacy on the future of world football, especially Russia place, which he will be sure he can greatly increase. He is in the position to create a structure that will long outlive him, and possibly be the thing he is most remembered for, as the mastermind who turned the sleeping giant into a raging force.

Good article on the Austarlian coach by Cockerill in today's SMH. Friday SMH is a must read. The whole back page devoted to A-League. The tipping from both the SMH and Telegraph has been abysmal so far. That's what happens when you constantly pick Sydney as most have done so again this weekend.

It's a great article in the SMH and if combine it with the latest Half time orange post . I think you have a good argument for why Arnie is gone and why Dick Advocaat is possibly not the right choice to replace him.
