Can someone please tell me the extent of their injuries and how long they might be out for? if they lose game time it would hurt the mariners heaps

way to early to tell re: Sasho Mike Cotteril said that Nik had a scan on his knee on Friday but there wasn't any bad damage. Hopefully they will both be back next weekend

Sasho was on crutches after the game - paper suggests he should be ok Edit - Nik does have a slight problem, hopefully not too serious

Both were pretty minor injuries. Expect them both to be OK for Sunday.
I reckon Mrdja will play and Sasho to sub with him.

I think I read in todays express that Nick would be out for sunday... Although they arent the most reliable, I hope he is OK , its been good having him around.

Is Simon injured also? He was not on the bench last weekend was he? So will he come into Lawrie's reckonings for this weekend.

So will he come into Lawrie's reckonings for this weekend. was not picked last week despite travelling with the squad lawrie picks a more defensive bench for away games and a very attacking bench for home games he will certainly come into contention

www.smh.com.au/news/Sport/Mariners-lose-Mrdja-Petrovski-a-chance/2007/09/19/1189881589224.htmlMariners lose Mrdja, Petrovski a chance Dont know how reliable it is but I dont like it if it is. they say a "few weeks" for mrdja and a "50-50" chance for petrovski so this may see petrovski coming from the bench perhaps. my lineup without the 2 as well as vidmar are: -----------------------Vukovic Osman---Boogaard-----Clark (c)-----Heffernan ---------------------Jedinak Gumprecht---Hutchinson------------Brown -------------------Pondeljak -------------------Kwasnik Bench: Trott/Redmayne, Porter, Petrovski/Owens/McAndrew? (Depending on 50-50 and Owens Avaliability), Simon Im guessing we are now close to utilising the full depth of the squad

Personally i'm not surprised that Nik won't play this weekend. Kwassy to get two goals this weekend.

Personally i'm not surprised that Nik won't play this weekend. Kwassy to get two goals this weekend. . all reports i have seen say that it is knee soreness nik is suffering from in his dodgy knee - i would not expect them to risk having him on field for a long time if this is the case (it is still only round 5) . don't want to push it and have him out for god knows how long . sash's injury could mean similar things

Things were looking so good on the injury front so recently.
Should we sign a striker short term?

Things were looking so good on the injury front so recently. Should we sign a striker short term? We probably need a short term striker to cover for Mrdja. I dont believe that Petrovski's injury is that bad and I believe he will play if not this week then next week. But for Mrdja we should consider someone like Damian Mori depending how he's going for Adelaide City or is there anyone for the lightening or a NSWPL side that could make a good short term cover?

Well if your to believe Star FM this morning, they have said Nik is out with a niggling knee injury and Sash is 50/50. I guess we'll have to wait till Sunday to find out for sure. Unless DJ, Fish, Brett etc would like to give us some inside information???
