Anyone want to theorise about our back 4, especially our 2 central defenders, for round 8?

I believe it really depends on matty osmans fitness, in an ideal weekend he will be fit and the almost certain backline lawrie will go with is the obvious... Osman ------- Clarke --- Boogs -------- Heff But if Osman is unfit to play we will most likely see Porter -------- Clarke --- Boogs --------- Heff Porter and Clarke on one side together for me is really nerve racking, Porters inexperience and Clarkes current form, we really miss Wilko

Why are we worrying about our defence for that game. We're only playing Queensland.

Maybe we rest ozzy this week make sure hes alright for that game? droppin jedi back would be a good option other choices hutch/porter hutch spent some time back there before he found form in mids. NO Danny, boogs, wilko, vidmar, mabe ozzy

That would be nice though I dont think it will be this week. Porters game time this season has been limited but he will cetainly fill the hole. Its the derby factor that inspires me,our boys as well as theirs always lift so those we think may have been down last week will rise on Sunday, Clarkey included

porter will get a gig in the backline. which is a shame. hoping we might see him feature in the midfield this week

i would prefer playing jedi as a stopper and porter or gumps as the holding mid. jedi and boogs are the only 2 avaliable at the moment i feel comfortable about defensively in the CB role atm. play porter in a mid role and brown back because i believe brown is a very solid defensive player. if boogaard gets selected i think we are up s**t creek defensively

I reckon Gumps should be put on earlier rather then later.

Why are we worrying about our defence for that game. We're only playing Queensland. They will be desperate for points especially if the don't win this weekend. Without Vidmar, Boogs, Danny, Stringers, Wilko etc.......we will struggle. Makes this weekend even more important to make sure surrounding teams don't make up the gap.

Trott
Ossie Jedi Clark Heff
Not that bad imo, and leaves space for more of our midfielders.

Trott Ossie Jedi Clark Heff Not that bad imo, and leaves space for more of our midfielders. I love Clarky but think he is better suited as a fitness coach now rather than player, and dropping Jedi back could be ok but still means he has to prepare himself differently? Great chance for our midfielders like Gumps, Tommy and Owens to claim a spot as you said Brett.

I can't remember seeing Clarky play a bad game at CB for us. I can't remember him playing a great game at RB.
We should look at Porter or Brown as a back up right back and keep Clarky central. He was good there against Perth recently imo.
