Best turnout by them so far, not nearly as many as Bling and they almost matched Adelaide for the Romario game. I took some pics (and all I now need to do is workout how to upload them) so we can refute the "there were 2,000 of us" crap we will doubtless get. 2/300 tops out of curiosity, how many marinators would you say were in bay 16? Be careful Marinerbhoy, this tends to start a pissing contest over who had the most etc. Photos were taken to refute any claims of 2000 squaddies in their Bay. If photos were taken of Bay 16 after half time, and just before our goal, then that's when it was at it's fullest. Nearly a full bay by what I could see.

Would agree with what was said here by Dibo.

lads as me and dibo agree on our forum,
Everyones view is going to be extremely subjective to who you support. So i dont think its really worth discussing about.
But what happen to that giant tower that was behind you blokes? Sux that you got nothing to hang ya banners from

Battle of the banners...simply put, we won. This is the stunning effort from the scum. Some quite rightly called it the 'Skid Mark on the Underpants' banner. Stephen, Stephen, Stephen, you're still a true artist when it comes to flaming, even after all these years. While it was nice to see that you guys have discovered the wonder of the banner, a truer reflection of 'The Battle of the Banners' may be seen when you compare your banners to this picture of our effort. A little more impressive than your three banner effort? We owned the Marinators, pure and simple. I have to admit, from that angle, your effort looked pretty good. From where I sat (as you can see by my photo) all you could see was the skidmark flag. Sad that you've got such a crappy colour to work with.

theres like two Rowdies and a dozen or so people from N.S Er, Perm, actually there are at least a half dozen regular Rowdies that follow the Mariners. And they are just the ones who frequent Bay 16. Some are probably not as visible as others ;D

Great picture there Todd. Care to highlight in that picture which one is you, and which one is Loudy? ;D I'm somewhere near the 'Super Matty Thompson' banner. If you're looking to identify me in person, young Stephen will be of assistance. Loudy is omnipotent - he's here, he's there, he's everywhere! Yeah, Todd's the gormless looking one. Speaking of gormless, the Newcastle Herald had a super photo of the Bogan banners and nearby Marinators!

Diddums.
Pretty pathetic if the media is going to bag out opposition supporters over some friendly banter. Great work on the bogan banners.

That was about 40 minutes b4 kickoff too, I know cause I'm the one waving the flag at that stage and in the photo. Not surprised its the only one you could see. Just trying to get the crowd into it a bit. And yes I suppose it does look a bit like a skidmark on undies in that pic lol haha.
