Mariners and EnergyAustralia announce partnership
The Central Coast Mariners and EnergyAustralia have today announced a new partnership that boosts junior football development across the Central Coast.
Under the three-year agreement with the Mariners, EnergyAustralia will support the Mariners’ junior development and schools programs and become the club’s official energy partner.
To celebrate the partnership, the Mariners’ home game next month against Adelaide United will be a special EnergyAustralia Community Day.
A number of on-field promotions will be designed to encourage supporters to attend Bluetongue Stadium on Saturday, 10 November, and throw their support behind the Mariners when they take on last season’s grand finalists.
"We are delighted to welcome into our family of partners an organisation that is 100 per cent aligned to our core values and beliefs," said Mariners Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman.
"EnergyAustralia are the unquestioned leaders of their field and their dedication to nurturing the same community relationships as the Mariners makes this partnership an appropriate fit.
"EnergyAustralia will be focussing their resources on developing what is the very foundation of our club – our school and community programs.
"We are extremely dedicated to ensuring that our club becomes the centre of excellence for football in Australia, and partnerships like this one with EnergyAustralia are vital to realising this vision."
EnergyAustralia Managing Director George Maltabarow said the partnership was an excellent way for EnergyAustralia to support families on the Central Coast.
"The partnership will focus on grassroots support for football on the Central Coast," said Mr. Maltabarow.
"But it will also help EnergyAustralia to provide further support for families on the Central Coast by building new community education programs.
"We’re investing more than $320 million on the electricity network on the Central Coast to help maintain a reliable supply of power and we already have in place some very successful partnerships, notably the local surf lifesaving association.
"We’re keen to find ways through this latest exciting partnership to build stronger links at every level from school grounds to the football fields across the Central Coast."
The Mariners are back at Bluetongue Stadium this Sunday, 14 October, where they will meet the challenge of the Queensland Roar. Kick off is at 5pm.
Tickets are now on sale from Ticketek outlets, from the Ticketek website – www.ticketek.com.au, or via phone on 132 849.
Mariners Memberships for the Hyundai A-League 2007/08 season are now available for purchase online at www.ccmariners.com.au, or from Rebel Sports outlets at Erina and Tuggerah.
