If he stayed injury free he would have been a permanent fixture in the team now with a number of goals to his name. Who would Stringers be keeping out of our ideal XI. IMO he is a great player but isn't good enough to take the spot of Boogs or Wilko. I'm not overly sure he would be ahead of Vidmar as our 3rd choice centre back.

I though he left willingly.... so that means he defaulted on his contract...... isn't that how contacts work?

- Took a 2-week holiday (which was already booked)
- Could come back for 1wk but won't
contract isn't up till the end of the 6wks though

Striker, I think what Mick is referring to is the short term contract conditions set down by the FFA. If they get someone in on short term, they must sign for a minimum 6 weeks(?).
So even though Mori left early, by mutual consent, the exclusion of the replaced player remains.

Hi Pete..... don't you think it a silly rule? no casual worker in NSW gets holiday pay! LOL! Am waiting for Dibo to weigh in with the election policies on workplace reform........... I don't actually think it's a silly rule, as it stops rorting to some extent. The injured player can announce some miraculous recovery if the short term guy turns out a donkey, but can't take his place in the squad. Makes clubs work harder at keeping what they have fit, or getting guys they KNOW are good enough to fit in with the squad.
