Okay, I was catching a train from Gosford today, and I was in some random conversation with some bloke about the A-League. We got onto the topis of the Mariners, and be says that he's heard word of the team moving their home stadium to Sydney Surroundings... Is this true?!?!?! I don't often take the word of a drunk on a train, but I was just checking with you guys...

moving their home stadium to Sydney yep and the actual stadium is being moved. it will take a few trucks to cart it down the F3 but now that we have cash to spend it shouldn't be a problem

Bear I hope you are joking! Andy what I heard was the club was going to create relationships with Sydney Associations in addation to those in the Northern part of Sydney. The Mariners want to tap into there players and there rep teams, and help bring some of these people up the F3 to watch the Mariners at Gosford. Essentially expand as Sydney FC are to F****ing stupid to watch their own back yard for the best players. Sydney FC have a five year right over Sydney and would never allow us to move.

at least we would ALWAYS sell that place out lol not exactly - it's a big hill most of the way around with 'capacity' of 40,000 - basically you could pack it in til nobody else fits (like the good old days, with people pissing down rolled up newspapers because they can't be arsed getting along to the john etc.).
