------------------------ Danny
Porter-----Boogaard-----Vidmar-----Heffernan
Owens-----Jedinak-----Hutchinson---Pondeljak
---------------Aloisi-------Petrovski
Bench: Trott, Wilkinson (gumprecht), Kwasnik, Simon
IMO we give Wilko a few minutes off the bench to ease him back in and i wouldnt be expecting the full 90 minutes out of Aloisi.
I predict a crazy scoreline of 5-1 Goals: Petrovski x 2, Aloisi, Simon, Pondeljak; Brosque (pen)
Im really looking forward to it

I cant see Aloisi starting. Time at the end off the bench, yes, but surely its crazy to start someone who has not played in 3 months, no matter how fit, how much training they have had, or who they are.

Even if he can only last a half + a quick 10 in the second, unleash the guy! He has said himself he is fit but not match fit, even if he struggles push him through the barrier so he is 100% in a few games.

A message from the Chairman: Sydney FC today appointed the coach with the most wins in the first two Hyundai A-League seasons to lead its team for the remainder of the third term. John Kosmina is the right man at the right time for Sydney FC. The club still has aspirations of qualifying for the 2008 Hyundai A-League Finals Series and challenging for the title. The players are as determined and ambitious as ever and John shares their sentiments. He really wants to put Sydney FC where it belongs - at the top of Australian club football.
John's first game as Sydney FC's head coach is on Sunday (3.00pm) when the club takes on Central Coast Mariners at Sydney Football Stadium. I look forward to seeing you there.
Andrew Kemeny Chairman Sydney FC
A message from the head coach: I am tremendously excited to be back in the Hyundai A-League with a club of Sydney FC's potential and I am positive that there is enough quality in the squad to challenge for the championship this season.
There are a total 36 Hyundai A-League 2007/08 points for which Sydney FC can play, starting with three against Central Coast Mariners at Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday. The club is fewer than two wins outside the top four so all is from far lost.
Sydney FC is the biggest club in the biggest city in Australia and its success is vital to the integrity of the Hyundai A-League and the game as well. It is a fantastic opportunity to once again make Sydney FC the premier club. See you at the game.
John Kosmina Head coach Sydney FC

Talking is fine - us saying that we want the little Central Coast to be the centre of excellence is pretty ambitious in fact - but it is actions and results that count.
Sydney DOES have the potential to be the biggest club but saying it doesn't make it so.
edit: and surely if they had any brains they would be talking up Aloisi to bring a big crowd in, not blowing hot air and false hopes.
Remember when we built up the legend of Romario and got a massive crowd? We could have talked about smashing him back to 1994 and winning the league but that's just not right.

Its quite funny how the only people who call Sydney FC "the biggest club" in Australia are people who are associated with the club. Everyone else knows its horseshit

Everyone else knows its horseshit the coach is a psychopath, the marquee is a whiny styrofoam midget held together by bits of stickytape and bubblegum and the 'star striker' isn't worth even the handful of oats his strapper puts in his nosebag each evening. the defensive line and the Gate C turnstyles could be swapped and nobody could tell the difference and the midfielders are as incisive as a bowl of custard. and we have john aloisi.

we'll score this weekend IMO, they have Rudan suspended too................If Branko was still around I'd say a Mariners win, with him gone the new manager factor can do funny things.......every FC player will be wanting to win a spot in Kossies side.
Won't be easy.....I'm leaning towards 1-1.

Breaking news from Sydney FC management...
NO DRUMS, TRUMPETS OR MEGAPHONES!
It would seem that a very small band of past supporters from clubs other than us have ruined it for all!
For our 'usual' celebrations that we do when the players come out of the tunnel, please pm Fish as he has something planned.
Sorry Drummers, this week off for you! You'll have to make up for it by singing twice as loud! LOL

*edit* Thanks Melbourne, you strike again. Anyways, Petrovski to score again, just because he can, and it's against Sydney. Juninho to go off around the half hour mark, just because he's shit and his shoulders are made of glass. Bridges?? Who the f*ck is that?? Aloisi to score, just because he will. 2-0 to the Mariners.
