Back 3 in modern football means you need dedicated wingbacks. You can't just lump 5 guys across the middle.
It would have to be more like
Danny
- - - - Wilko Viddie Boogs
Greggo - - - Hutch - - - - - Brown
- - - - - Tommy - - Kwas
- - - - - Sash - - - - Aloisi
djebella - remember that last week Lawrie was out throwing around comments about Aloisi being doubtful just before the game...I reckon Wilko, Kwas and Clarky will be ready to go!

Is Vidmar really strong enough these days to hold the centre of the backs by himself? Brett's indicated lineup should lead to a pretty strong attack, all the way from the back line - but will we suffer on the counterattack? I think we're going to miss Jedi :-(

I think we're going to miss Jedi :-( Spot on Sandman, about missing Jedi, and Viddy simply no longer has the speed, and especially so against Archie or for that matter most running at him in Victory attack. Out of left field maybe move Vinny to left mid to hold and direct, perhaps use his knowledge in playing with Aloisi (still cannot believe he is with us) for balls into the box, move Heff to central defence and Kaws to left back. Would weaken attack down the left side a bit but give us pace to match Victory in defence. |
