The first home game of the Coasties at Graham Park is in Round 4 -
Saturday 11th December - 7pm vs. Sydney Crescent Star
(Turkish team, with great coach, play nice football, good support, won the Continental Tyres Cup last season)
I'm already planning to come up from Sydney for this one. For those who intend to follow the Mariners this is a good chance to meet and get into some football!
For those that want to support the CCUFC - this is the best chance to get into it!
Get the word out!

I don't know much about the CC United, but is there a rason why the mariners didn't want to unite with this club in a joint venture. or is there some association between the two?
Wouldn't it be better if one administration ran the 2 teams. One in the A-league and the other in the state league.

United is run by the Central Coast Soccer Association - the governing body for football on the Central Coast.
They also administer the local competitions and representative team.
I'd rather that they not be merged. If the Mariners fail (and many national football teams do) it would take both the State League side and the whole of the association with it.
Football would be crippled on the Central Coast and take many years to recover.
As it currently stands both parties are very willing to form a relationship so that there are mutual benefits for both parties.
The Mariners only got the go ahead last week. It will certainly happen with time.

Central Coast Soccer Association DOES NOT run ccufc they are amalagamted with the former coasties and Lakers. And their role with the club is to provide the ground for them to play on.
If the CCSA solely run ccufc then it would be much better run and in much better financial position than it currently is.
If the Mariners were wise they would not go anywhere near central coast united and head south. But if they did than they would be wise to take over it lock stock and barrell.
