Good stuff, that should put us clear of 9th place.

Central Coast Lightning won the cross Hawkesbury derby 2-1 today over home team Northern Tigers on a bumpy Parklands Oval pitch.
With the Tigers fielding new signing Dominic Rossi it was obvious that it will take time to get the teamwork going, as the Coast were just too disciplined in shape and in defence to give the Tigers many chances. Those they did have they couldn't capitalise on despite some shaky work by Coast keeper Matthew Trott.
After what had been a competitive if uneventfull 20 minutes disaster came for the Coast when Tony Mittiga sent a free kick high and out of the sun. With Trott not well positioned the ball was unable to be cleared by the head of defender Matthew Mitchell and it was 1-0. (The referee awared the goal officially to Damon Thompson, who had put the defender under pressure in the air).
This goal lifted the Coast and seven minutes later they were on level terms when Jamie Lobb made a great run up the left, and getting a low cross into the area where Tigers Tim Giblett frantically tried to clear. It only got as far as Jason Mcminimee whose volley from 25m soared past Dean McCreath in the Tigers goal. 1-1
In the 30th minute a long cross from the right found Nathan Byrn free on the left, and he turned his marker Tim Giblett slotting ball past an advancing McCreath in goal. 1-2
The Coast continued the pressure with Matt Simon and Darren Cooper both worrying the Tigers with free kicks within range.
In the 37th minute Tony Mittiga hit a long clearance out of midfield and it swirled in the wind passing trott and rebounding to safety off the right side of the crossbar.
Just before half-time the Coast thought they'd grabbed a third when Matt Simon neatly headed the a cross past McCreath but he had already been spotted and penalised by referee Atil Stibinger for the challenge on his marker.
After the break the Tigers were more succesful in breaking down Central Coast defensive screen.
Paul Davies in the 59th minute hit a speculator from 30m that went just past the goals and evaded his team mates.
It was end to end stuff and physically demanding.
In the 70th minute Dean McCreath launched an attack with a long clearance and Tigers Tim Spencer tested Matthew Trott with a shot on the run as he entered the goal area. Trott gathered it as he dived to his left to save.
With three minutes remaning Salemah wasted a chance for the Tigers with a shot balsted over, and then a last chance for Coast when Mcminimee made a great run up the right and crossed to Nathan Byrn but his soft shot, though on target, was cleared by a defender before it crossed the line.
It had been a tough and entertaining game, as derbies can be, with the Coast perhaps more organised and Tigers failing in the attacking third.
