Dear Clubs and Forum Participants, As you maybe aware Central Coast Football has embarked on the development of a Strategic Plan for the future of football, its members and the football community on the Coast. Why do we need a plan? We need a plan because the challenges ahead are even greater than those we have faced to date; and because we need to ensure that the whole football community has a clear set of shared priorities towards which we can work together. How will the plan work? The Strategic Plan will clearly set out Central Coast Football’s key priority areas and establish a way of working to achieve them. The plan will identify around 8-10 key priority areas for improving football on the Central Coast over the next 5 years. These priorities are meaningful and measurable, and the plan will not set out every initiative and action that is required to achieve the priorities, nor will it predetermine the strategies to be followed. The Plan will act as a clear guide for ongoing planning, cooperation and action within and across football, government and non government agencies, sponsors and key stakeholders. What are the timeframes? The finalization of ongoing consultation and forums culminates into a draft document towards the end of August. A ‘draft’ Plan will be submitted to the CCF Executive, Delegates and stakeholders during the month of September for feedback, following a ‘final draft’ will then be released for review and comment closing end of October for finalization and presentation to the CCF Annual General Meeting in late November. CCF will on adoption action underpinning Business Plans to action the key priority areas inline with budgets that will be managed and driven by CCF with reporting on action items at monthly meetings to the CCF Executive and CCF Club (Delegate) Meetings. Reviews held to assess the plans achievements, content and budgetary outcomes ongoing. We plan to work in conjunction with clubs to then establish their own Strategic Plans that work towards the sports over arching plans along with specific areas of priority to each club. This will commence from mid 2007 and beyond. As a result of recent forums held as part of the CCF Strategic Planning Program we have attached the following as a reference: · Club Strategic Forum – Overview · Women’s Strategic Forum – Overview · Updates from the Program Upcoming Events · Coach Strategic Forum – Forum Outline (attached) Facilitator: Mr. Chris Kiely Ourimbah RSL – 14 August 2006 Coming Soon! · 7 October 2006 – Senior (18’s – O35’s) Competitions Forum · 14 October 2006 – Junior (Non-Comp & Comp up to 17’s) Competitions Forum Look out for our Planning Forum Survey to be released Thursday next week with our next issue of ‘Central Coast Football Shorts’ available by subscribing to admin@ccfootball.com.au with the subject ‘subscribe to Shorts’ or by visiting our website www.ccfootball.com.au to allow for continual improvement of this important process. Feel free to ring M Keech but I think you'll find he speaks a different language to everybody else. The above post is a prime example of corporate jargon which tells you absolutely s...all! Send the man on a plain-English course...

You have to applaud CCF on embarking on a corporate plan. Should have been done years ago, but instead the organisation just bumbles along with no clear direction.
Hopefully the plan will go a way to addressing these issues.

Send the man on a plain-English course... isn't funny how a corporate planning session is written in "corporate jargon". i guess some would prefer yobo or pub jargon i think your missing the point that its for everyone to give their ideas, not rip the choice of wording to sh*t. but hey, if you have nothing better to do with your time...

There must be a factory somewhere, churning out these corporate speaking, KPI meeting, visioned and missioned 'going forward' wankers of both sexes. I'm glad I'm only years from retirement from the corporate (incl. govt these days) world!

Plain English would be a good start. The use of such jargon-filled nonsense simply obscures the real message. Maybe that's the point of the exercise? For a man who is the chief communicator of corporate ideas, he has no idea how to communicate.

Great idea except for the fact that Keech will not allow it, he will loose hold on his dictatorship if such plans are accepted. Unfortunately, he has total power with all things football, except he has no clue on what is football. Anyway, I hope the clubs one day wake up and get rid of this guy who is making more enemies then anyone before him. I know some will not like my reply but sport is sport and it is for everyone even if someone says NO to him. look at the facts with GHFA announcing on Monday partnership with Mariners www.ghfa.com.au

Keech has basically put up a smokescreen of jargon and professional paper shuffling whilst employing people around him with fanciful job desriptions wasting ccf's money. The job is not that hard. He and his most unpopular offsider are pulling the wool over the board's eyes.He will be found out sooner more than later. We need the Mariners to take over and intrduce their prfessional approach.

Whilst unlikely ever to happen, the Mariners forging some sort of merger/JV with them would be a good idea. That gives the Mariners a junior infrastructure and de facto reserve team.
Trouble is, CCF seems to be run using the Jets "how to stuff up football" manual so the Mariners have done the smart thing and linked elsewhere. Says it all really doesnt it?

Maybe the Mariners should be invited to a forum to discuss the future of football on the coast with present coaches as well as coaches who wont bother with CCF in it's present management.
As it seems more players and coaches are leaving the rep sides due to such a discommunicated year and others are not considering applying, hence it's the same old situation. We need people whom understand football and carry no baggage to run the show.
It's really quite simple, it's the burecratical and political influences that put people off and the last thing we need is a dictator selecting people around him to sure up his position, we already know that he doesn't give a damn if rep football on the coast collapses, thats really poor for all the young kids on the coast.
