I would think you wouldn't have too much hassle organising an O35 team....and probably a women's Over 30's team (I'd assume they'll have the 'social' teams, like Pretty Beach Fossils, and Barnestoneworth United that the men's Over 35 do)....
Don't know what would be involved with the junior teams...and I would think that setting up an entire club would take a lot of work...I would've thought that most people - especially the younger ones - would be happy to stay with their own club anyway? Still an interesting idea.....how many teams do the Cove have?

Obviously too late for the 07 season but it is something that is on the radar for the future. We made some enquiries with the CCF and got through to the ex-general manager.
In his autocratic style he said we would need to supply an oval as all ovals are fully booked (which the are not).
Now that he is gone we can some proper (not made up) rules on affiliating.
It will be something the new "Friends of the Marinators" sub club of the Leagues Club will be working on when the club starts.

Barnstoneworth and Kripples etc are affiliated through existing clubs like Terrigal and Killarney. It means they can be independent without the need to set up a whole new club structure, with constitution and officers and all that. I think Barnstoneworth had two or three squads in the O35 comp, so there's ample opportunity for inclusion of a Marinators team.

I have heard on the local grapevine that four four two located at Mount Penang have been banging on the door of Central Coast Football for the last 12 months wishing to start a new club, they have their own training, match venue. That idiot Keech knocked them back because he said, they are too close to Kariong football club, four four two replied by offering to play juniors and seniors in the Sydney comp as NSW Soccer had no problem with this so long as CCF give permission if this was the case, they are still bang ing on the door with very little reply.
