Looking at the top tiered teams in the PL1 last year, Umina have the easiest of draws compared to their rivals in Wyoming and East Gosford, who have unfortunately drawn each other in the opening round.
This will really open it up for the rest of the field. Any one of the PL2 teams stand an excellent chance of pulling-off this years cup.

Roddy, the winner of Easts and Wyoming play against the winner out of Umina and Mountains, meaning that only 1 of those 3 top teams will go through. This leaves alot of room for other teams to excell in the cup.

Unlucky for both Wyoming and EG who were probably looking to utilize the CC Cup as preparation for the forthcoming PL1 season. Now they'll have to organize more trial games against local teams that are knocked-out of the Cup early, however with the current ground restrictions on the Coast that too may prove difficult. May have to hire school grounds or seek opponents in the Newcastle or Nrthn Syd areas as I can't see Central Coast Football allowing these trial games to be played out at Pluim due to the extra wear & tear.

Well I know East Gosford has already had a trial in Manly, as I am playing for them this season... I wouldn't be surprised if more get organised for there and similar areas. I'm pretty sure there are a few trials already organised for Pluim Park.
Anyway, the Association Cup should be interesting.

Saw the Gos Vs Kin match last night. Had the potential to be a great game but was ruined by poor reffing. When a player gets sent off for one thing and a player on the other team does the exact same thing it is a little suss. Still kudos to Kin for the win, they played well and more kudos to Gos for holding their heads high with the odds against them and down to 10men for a good 60min.

As they say, what game were you watching...?? Their forward fell over if you looked at him, they wanted EVERY decision to go their way and if it didn't, they cried like babies...Do you actually know what their player was sent off for? Unless you know, how can you say one of the kincumber players did the same thing..As for the reffing...he endured 90 minutes of intimidation from a poorly disciplined Gosford team who deserved nothing more than what they got...Kincumber's display was disciplined and, though not highly skilled, they failed to be put off by Gossie's childish antics. And before you ask, I'm not from Kincumber and I've nothing against Gosford. I just like to see the game win...

I do know what he was sent off for as I was standing near the linesman at the time... And as I said it was for swearing, which was in reply to something one of the Kincumber players said. The exact same thing was said by a Kincumber player in the second half and he didn't even get a warning. Bull-hit kincumber were disaplined.. As soon as they started to get the penalties they deserved they crumbled. Did you not see the hit on the Gos forward from the Kin keeper??? Childish antics, hardly, they just don't take shit and expect a ref to be fair, to call a game equally. There is no way Gos deserved the amount of cards handed out. I admit they can be a little rough upon occasion, but in that game they deserved more.

Our player was sent off for saying "i got ya that time ya lil bitch" to a player he was having a running battle with. To recieve a yellow card for that in 1st grade is pathetic. Its not juniors, we are talking about grown men, to be sent off for calling the player a bitch is crap. If you want to talk about gosfords dicipline lets look at kincumbers keeper punching our striker and kincumber players chopping us everytime a player went past them. Im not saying that the ref is to blame for us losing(as kincumbers first was a cracker) but he killed off the game and any chance gossie had at a comeback. Destroyed what was looking like a good match.
