Roar's offer to mystery man

Queensland Roar coach Miron Bleiberg says the fate of his invitation to a former England international to join the A-League club will be known in the next three days.
Bleiberg has sounded out the player's manager during the past week over the possibility of him making guest appearances during the competition's inaugural season.
He refused to name the player but it is known that several former internationals are keen to join marquee Sydney FC-signing Dwight Yorke Down Under.
Yorke, 33, became the competition's highest-profile recruit when he inked a lucrative two-year deal with the star-studded club earlier this year.
But the former Manchester United star could soon be joined by another English premiership player with Teddy Sheringham and Steve McManaman already indicating their availability.
Former internationals Paul Ince, Graeme Le Saux and Martin Keown are also believed to have registered an interest in a permanent move to the A-League with a price tag of around $1 million needed to register the sale.
Bleiberg described Sheringham as a prime example of what would be a fantastic buy for the club due to his likeable demeanour and crowd-pulling performances.
"If you bring someone in with a good reputation, a good nature and in a position that suits your team, that's it you know," he said.
"I'll know in the next three days if something is going to happen."
The Roar's worldwide search for a front-line striker continues this week when Macedonian international Jurica Siljanoski arrives for a trial.
Bleiberg said highlight footage sent by Siljanoski's manager had left an impression on him.
Queensland desperately needs to sign a quality forward after Sydney FC exposed their lack of potency up front during the club's maiden outing in the opening round of the Club World Championship last month.
"If he's half as good as he is in his footage then we'll be very happy," Bleiberg said.
Siljanoski, who is married to an Australian, is currently contracted to Romanian first division side FC Oradea.
Bleiberg said the Roar had missed out on signing current Austrian international Ivica Vastic after he was offered a new three-year contract with a European club.
Teddy Sheringham is 40 years old! His wobbly knees would worry most defences lol
