I'd like a non-bias oponion from supporters outside Melbourne Victory.
- where do you rate the club; ie. top 2, bottom 4 etc.
- what do you see as the clubs strengths & weakness.

I think some of your young players are going to be good finds Sarkies and Tadrosse in particular but you have Kevin Muscat which will even things out.Hes a thug and will cost you results.

Victory will be one of the teams fighting for 4th spot but can't see them making it. Anything could happen thou we just don't know yet.

The youth in Melbourne is a strength and it's good for the game if Melbourne can keep them in Australia. Muscat is definatley a weakness for them. I agree scrapping for 4th place, 4th or 5th.

Woodruffe would have scored and Danny would have saved!

Agree they were two aspects that were extremely poor.

Easy up on the kids lads..
Leijer is a gun. I remember when I first saw him for the Knights in the old NSL you could tell the lad was going to be mint.
Both Lia & Tadrosse are very promising footballers. Neither is in our best 11 but both verstile and handy squad players.
Sarkies is class, Australias best U20.

We did credit them as good players in that side, however that side sucked and produced it's worst performance in a long time, the players may be young but are professional and are subject to the same scruitiny as professionals.

You asked for an unbiased opinion and we gave you one, Muscat playing for Melbourne isn't the only reason he's crap. If you wanted adoration for Muscat you should have stayed on the Melbourne forum.

In all honesty...
Melbourne will not get results this season, and possibly not next season either.
But if they hang onto the young blokes they have, they might go alright after that.
More likely - the young blokes will be too ambitious and bugger off OS and leave you in the lurch!!

If we can get our best 11 on to the pitch we are not young.
The first 6 names on the team sheet are all 25+ years of age,
- Geoffery Claeys (BEL) - Andy Vlahos - Archie Thompson - Danny Allsopp - Kevin Muscat - Richard Kitzbichler (AUT]
You then have a handful of played aged 20-25 whom arevery experened beyoung their years playing in a host of European legues:
- Eugene Galekovic - Mark Byrnes - Michael Theoklitos - Michael Ferrante
Mixed in with a group of Australias very best kids.
- Adrian Leijer u/20 - Kristian Sarkies u/20

Hopefully you guys can keep those young players, I somehow doubt it. Whys that? If the kids are good enough for the Italys, Spains & Englands of the world we will not be able to keep them and rightly so. However, the beutiy of the A-League is we will retain and bring back middle of the road talent untill the are too good for this league. If we are to lose a Sarkies it will not be untill he has ripped up the A-League for a year or two.
