Did anyone see the World Game segment on the Croatian coach out here doing coaching clinics?
He made it no secret that he was out here scouting players of Croatian heritage to play for Croatia.
He said that Australians should be proud of players like Siminic, Didiluca and Seric.
The guy can f*** off and Sydney United are a disgrace for inviting him out here.

I don't like his attitude re: poaching kids who would qualify for Croatian citizenship. But I do hope that the FFA take the chance to organise a game between Croatia and Australia, while he is here. In light of the recent past involving certain ethnic tensions that resulted in bustups at state league games, it would have been nice for him to also denounce the violence. He is in a position where a section of our footballing community will listen to him, so he should have been able to voice some concern about said violence.
It would be nice if the FFA would also close that loophole that allows a player to trot off OS and claim past heritage fora better placed national team, when their whole upbringing, education and health has been done in Australia. But I understand that the FFA would have to get FIFA to change their qualifying rules and there's no chance of that happening too soon.

Agree MM.Sealpup I actually think the AIS has changed there policy in that I think there is a clause when you finish you have a certain time frame where you must be eligible only to Australia I dont know if it is binding but I think it exists.

Right on MM. I wonder how our fiends in Dubrovnik or Split would like it if an Aussie coach went scouting there for players who are eligible to play in Green & Gold.
This ethnic rubbish has to stop. Players who are first generation Aussies are JUST as Aussie as those who are seventh generation, and they should all grow busting their butt to play in Green & Gold. Full stop.
