We dont sing this one champ. Its the rest of the crowd that get it going. timmy, what's the whistle being blown in the squadron surely you guys see how bad this is I dont think there to bad, They do get annoying but. i think your talking about when the samba beat is going? The drums will play it once then the whistles do it, and so for. On saturday night our drummer wasnt able to make it, so had whistles doing both. I was glad i had a few drinks at the pub before hand. If your anywhere near the whistles it suxs lol

Last Derby down there, but it has been a hit of you lads since day 1 I think it's a song that is mainly started by people throughout the grounds. I personally don't sit in bay 16, and on numerous occasions I've heard people in the bay i'm in, randomly start chanting it.

Last Derby down there, but it has been a hit of you lads since day 1do you mean it's been a big song of ours? i've certainly never started it. it very very occasionally gets started by n00bs, and dies a pretty quick death. describing it as part of our core material is pushing bullshit, pure and simple. that said, the shit that that chant gets from your lot is amusing, if only for the fact that it's no more or less embarassing or unoriginal than 'come on newcastle *clap* *clap* *clap**clap**clap*', or 'new-car-sell'. people sing songs that are shite. get over it. frankly 'we're the north end...' etc. is also shit, but it's loud so who cares. YNWA is a god-awful bit of pap, to a sickly sacharine melody and if it weren't belted out by 46k mad scousers every second saturday for 6 months then it would die the ignominious death the song deserved. but it got picked up and is now a legend. shit songs take on a life of their own, and everyone else can get over it. your team don't get points for style. i personally hate the song, but there are other songs of ours i hate just as much that we do sing regularly, and frankly if they're loud and all together then i pretty much cease to give a f***.

i meant that when ever im down there for a derby i always hear it 4 or 5 times.
I don't see whats wrong with he come on Newcastle one. It gets the whole crowd going and looks great on TV. But i agree on new-cas-tle on. Squadron doesn't get it going, is the rest of the crowd that does.
i understand what ya saying dibo, just think what i said wasnt taken the wrong way.

Whilst either "lets go" or "New car sell" are both equally deserving of a slow death, its still better than the SFS.
Why?? at least the crowd outside the bay are trying. Apart from the Cove, the place is devoid of any atmosphere at all (apart from the synchronised flag waving team in the corner of course).
On that subject, how many of them are likely to turn up for the Victory home match?? Flag waving suicide squad :-)

I'm all for creating an atmosphere for the players, not other fans. If "lets go Mariners lets go" or "cmon newcastle" is loud enough so the players get a buzz from it, then that is great. Even better if the whole stadium gets involved. Did i agree with Dibo then??? I feel dirty.
