Below is an email I sent to Media Watch over the ABC show offsiders eith no football reporting. Also it is my hobby horse but the F medis in the country and the ABC is just as bad as the commercials.
I suggest you all if you get worked up shot off an email if they get enough they may do something.

Today Offsiders ABC, 10:30, a sports show.
It should be renamed the AFL & Rugby League show. Its panelist are made up of print media journo’s who are you guessed AFL & Rugby League journo’s or maybe hacks, nay snake oil salespeople.
In the fair dimkim department and in the spirit of a fair go. Maybe football (soccer) should get more than 20 seconds on the A-League and even then described as poor match.
There were over 70, 000 people in Melbourne in the pouring rain who watched the Soceroos play Argentina on Tuesday night. Saturday night the Matilda's (Australia’s senior women’s team) draw with Demark a team ranked fourth in the world. (just for a point of observation the Women’s world cup in football will draw a bigger international audience than the Rugby Union mans World Cup). Also during the week the Australian Olyroos (under 23 Australian male team) won two games and are currently second to Iran. One of the games the Olyroos won was against Iraq you may have heard we have some troops over there.
All of the panelist have at some stage or other WARNED about football growth in the true ABC style of a fair go to all and pay just 10 cents a day. Roy Masters (a panelist on offsiders) even wrote and article in Saturday’s smh again WARNING Rugby League and AFL about football.
I object and hope that Media will expose offsiders for what it is and at least have them change their name or inform the Australian public at the start of the show we are here to talk about and promote AFL & Rugby League never mind what football is doing.
Further this show has a habit of AFL, Rugby League some union maybe, horses sometimes and other sports if they have to and football if they are forced but to leave out talking about four international matches one in a world cup match another against the worlds second ranked football team, is either deliberate miss use of public funds to suit their own needs or journalism at it’s poorest.
I hope you can put it to air.
