Really one has to ask if Sydney expect to make it past season 5!? Totally farken looney they are! No wonder Turnbull and La Paglia have distanced themselves. Still it is a worry, anything could happen this Sunday! Hopefully Arnold is appointed before Sunday

They can't beat the jest as yet. 3 coaches in 1-1/2 seasons, beats Sydneys 4 in 2-1/2. Anyone for another bid?....going...............going.......... perth will match them soon - mcmahon, vest, smith, (probably mitchell stepping up).

I thought Smith would go today.
Its hard to imagine anyone with nous stepping into the situation Sydney are in. Ange or Arny perhaps? Mitchell would be a likely replacement if the old Bernd Stange doesnt pop up to resurrect the wounded Glory.

I want them to appoint Kosmina so the Cove boos him all game......
But I want them to appoint Arnold so both ends chant "Arnold out!!!" all game.
Entertainment for all involved either way. And to those predicting doom on Sunday, remember it's those _on_ the park who have to perform as well, and to that, I have two words: David Zdrillic.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!
Oh, and Whoninho as well. And.... *laughs* Alex Brosque!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!

Just saw Kemeny's effort on Fox Sports News when talking to the press outside the boardroom...... "We have decided to part ways amicably, and Branko will no longer be working for Sydney FC". Jesus H. Christ, is this club for real?? Why bother lying?? "Shambles" is not the word for it, this is damaging to the league as a whole. Aloisi did not even get mentioned today, all I heard was "Branko Branko Branko Branko" - and yes, I know the media love the bad news better, but ffs, everyone involved at a semi-high level at Sydney, wake up to yourselves. Branko looked _pissed_ on the elevator talking to the press. And I mean _PISSED_. I feel sorry for him....... with that squad to work with and a disturbingly reactive board - no wonder the job is already considered a poison chalice. Lowy's conflict of interest has become more than a funny footnote, it's now something destroying the club from within. Still, can't wait to put 5 past them on Sunday.

Heard on the wireless this morning that Kossie would most likely be stepping up to the spot. At least for the next game.

Kosmina still has to serve a touchline ban for a couple of games. They'll have to put a coffee shop in the top of the stand then.

ITS OFFICIAL
Sydney FC have officially appointed John Kosmina as the new coach of the A-League club.
Club chairman Andrew Kemeny today confirmed the former Adelaide United manager would replace outgoing coach Branko Culina, who was sacked by Sydney FC on Monday.
Kosmina said today the opportunity was one he simply couldn't knock back.
"The opportunity only presented itself a couple of days ago and it was one I just couldn't knock back, I didn't even have to think about it," Kosmina said.
"I said yes before Andrew could say hello."
Kosmina becomes the fourth coach of the club in only its third year but said he wasn't fazed by the pressure of the role.
"It's a great opportunity for me. The pressure is part of it but it's great, it's something you feed off," Kosmina said.
"I think Sydney FC is a big club in the biggest city in Australia and as such it's got a responsibility to perform.
"My short term goal is to get Sydney FC in the finals and to get them playing I guess the kind of football people expect them to play.
Sydney, the A-League's "glamour" club, is currently sixth in the A-League with only two wins from nine games.
Kosmina will take the reins ahead of Sydney's clash with league leaders Central Coast Mariners on Sunday, although he will be banned from the sidelines for his first four games in charge.
He still has a suspension hanging over his head from his foul-mouthed outburst at referee Matthew Breeze following Adelaide's win in last season's preliminary final.
Kosmina, a former Socceroos striker, is the assistant coach of the national team and coached the Brisbane Strikers and Newcastle Breakers in the old National Soccer League before taking the helm of Adelaide in the inaugural A-League season.
Kemeny said: "I have no doubt that Kossie is one of the best, if not the of the Australian coaches in our country.
"John knows that I expect him to win and develop this club to be the best in Australia and he expects me to give him all the support available to me and to the club to help him get there.
"I am thrilled to have Kossie on board and let this appointment be the first step towards the rebuilding of this wonderful club."
