Liverpool have been given the right to defend their Champs league crown after all. It's not at the expense of everton, rather they have been thrown into the first qualifying round which will dig right into their preseason.
UEFA changed the rules so that in future similar cases the team in Everton's position will miss out so that the champs can defend their title. The exception is in nations where only one team goes into the champions league in which case whoever wins the league ALWAYS goes through (as if any of these countries would ever have a champs league winner).
Manchester City will NOT take Liverpool's UEFA cup place...I think they had done English clubs enough favours?
Personally I think this is a fair result. Liverpool deserved to defend it, but it would have been cruel to Everton if the rules were changed to boot them out.

Maybe the fifa board took into consideration views on this forum I doubt it - considering it was the UEFA board and not the FIFA board. Hmm so they changed a rule to break a rule to bring Liverpool in, interesting? Gone in the qualifying rounds!

Like I said the 1st qualifying round is before the normal season even kicks off, even if they get through it hurts them. For me that makes it fair. The rules were bent to let them in so they shouldnt have it easy.

Walk on walk on with hope in your hearts.
Want a good early season clash? Because we go in from Qaulifying rnd 1, Nationality doesnt matter. i.e. Its a good chance Liverpool could come up against Manure or (please god) filthy Everton.
I would love THAT!
