anyone reckon they still won't win the league? they still look too hard to catch to me, though it must be hard to live up to all the expectations every week, if they begin playing as a team of champions rather than a champion team the dynasty will be shortlived.
besides who catch em? Wigan? Mind you if Liverpool could pretend they are in playing in Europe perhaps they'd have a chance, they destroyed Anderlecht last night. Kewell had a nice touch to assist a goal too though he was only on for 15.

I predicted a Chelsea win last year, Arsenal came out of the blocks firing for the first 10 rounds after their unbeaten season then faded away as Chelsea cruised past.
This year I originally thought Man U had a shot, as Chelsea would suffer from second year blues. Chelsea will struggle in parts, but no other team has enough to catch them. Basically what shelleybeach said!

It's pretty clear that Chelsea will win the league but they will find it much tougher in the Champions League. Losing to Real Betis was not in the plan and even if they get through the group stage they may not get past teams like AC Milan and Barcelona who would have to be favourites given their performance against Panathinaikos this morning.

Chelsea have just had their stumble for the season, Whoo hooo!!
Buisness as usual from the next match onwards. Cracks at man utd is another story. And i dont say that to stir any pots, i really do think they have massive in-house issues at present.

I agree RV, it looks a bad situation for them given the rumours about Roy Keane's comments. Oh well it's always funny when they lose. I had a good laugh this morning.

Haha we could have Shevchenko on a 100 million pound deal as our marquee. And the best advertising, entertainment and ticket/merch prices in the league. besides that the salary cap stops the fun!

that would be nice, though have to be careful about your choice of east eurpoean benefactors, look at that Lithuanian (?) bloke that owns Hearts in the SPL, what a disaster, pity he didn't do it to Rangers!

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU it's not Jose's wallet nomes it's Roman Abramovich's wallet, Chelsea have simply brought their success, the only player I respect in their team is John Terry and he went through the youth set up! Lampard and Cole are a credit to West Ham! When that Russian scum leaves Chelsea I will be laughing all the way down their downward slide! With the wages they have and no Abramovich they will be fcuked! I hate Cheslea!

Chelsea are not in the clear yet. Granted the league is theirs to lose but given the fact remains that they've been losing ground fast.
With 6 games to play, Man U's 2-1 win over Bolton and Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Birmingham Chelsea's lead has dropped from a lead of 18 points (where Mourinho was talking of rapping up title by easter) to now, just a lead of 7.
That is a remarkable fight back by United, and they have pulled off feats like this before. I think having the spotlight removed from them a little bit has done a world of good.
United still get to visit Stamford Bridge which will obviously be a crucial encounter. The odds are still much in Chelsea's favour as even if Man U beat them, Man U have to face Arsenal, lengthen an 8 game winning run to probably 14 games in the process. Within those 5 games United have to face Arsenal and also hope that Chelsea stumble in at least 2 matches out of the 5.
Unless Utd go to Arsenal next week and get thumped (we've seen some pretty decent Arsenal goalscoring of late, ie 5-0 over Villa today) the run to the end of the season could prove to be a pretty tense one for Chelsea.
