When people talk about English football they usually have a Premier League team which they support and maybe a Championship team where they look for the results. How about the teams in League 1/2 and the Conference? If you want to adopt a team in England as your "second" team then look no further than Doncaster Rovers. They have knocked out Man City and Gillingham in the League Cup and are slowly climbing the table to the Championship. What do other people think or who do they support from these divsions?

Yea most of the guys on here now have a second team in Grimsby Town - the Mariners. I don't support a Premier League team - well untill next year hopefully.

Hull City......go the mighty Tigers
Div 3 to Championship in 2 years. Next year Premiership. Gotta love Taylor.
I kinda have a soft spot for the Melbourne Victory because of ex-Hull player Danny Allsop.

I kinda have a soft spot for the Melbourne Victory because of ex-Hull player Danny Allsop. I remember visiting the old Boothferry park, Hull was my grandads team I always keep an eye on them. I always remember Nick Barmby too when he started his career at Tottenham, even as a teenager he said 1 day I will play for Hull. Good on him, he got paid well for a few years and did what he always said he would do! He must be a legend up on the River Humber!

Typical tight northerner lol Only kidding they are pretty rough, 50 odd quid ain't pocket change, at the ground we can get them for $90 which is about 40 quid. (sorry for using the word quid too, we have no pound signs on our keyboards)

You know there's all these 'mirror' people on Grimsby Town's forum (here I mean the message board on the 'Independent G.T. site' I nicked my avatar from).
Like instead of a Blackadder they've got a BlackHaddock.
Got a great fish in his signature too: <*((((((><

Good questions. I think the lower leauges in England deserve more attention. Unfortunately its that old chestnut of money being a massive influence on how the media report on the game. I try to follow all the pro' leauges and get the full story. All the teams make up the bigger picture (even those from the conference and below!).
Grimsby Town
