Does anyone know if the A-League is going to be in FM2006?
I cant find any info anywhere. Is the game released yet?? If not when??

Yep - I have been playing it all morning as the Mariners  Only on PC at the moment as far as I'm aware and it's actually 1 of our prizes in the NYE game! |

Argh I've steered us to 5th with one game to go, a very close finish behind queensland roar in 4th as I predicted in real life about 2 months ago!
Jade North was a very good signing, along with Franco Parisi on loan. I have a good New Zealand striker coming in on a free in he offseason so next season I should be around the top of the league!

Came 3rd in my first season - I also signed North as Wilko was injured for 5 months! Dwight Yorke buggered off back to England too ha ha Melbourne won the A-League too, so it's not really that realistic! |

Do the Australian teams qualify for the Asian CL?
And is it really an improvement on the old CM games, or much of a muchness?

The main difference for me is the training, it's easier and you can develop your own training systems for individual players etc. Coaches give you more information on players performance in training, you can give a half time and full time talk, but apart from that game day is the same, as is the transfer system. It is better than the last thou and would recommend it if you liked '05! |

Yea it looks like a great game i have heard about it, i have Total Club Manager 2004 i found that nothing special but i want to get Football manager 06 it looks really good now that i have found out that the a-league is in it it will give me more reason to get it

Yes A-League teams play in ACL.
Yes I signed Vidmar for the Mariners in season 2 and he is a slug!

I got my copy yesterday, I tried to sign Tony Vidmar but he went to Celtic on a loan, cant blame him really. I bought Damian Mori from Adelaide City (he has joined Glory yet).
I like how you scout all the state teams, Sydney Utd have a few guns to get early. We need a patch to get all our photos in the game, can we do that ourselvesin the edit!!!!
If anyone knows how let us all know.
I've already created a Mariners team in PE5, with sponsors and all.

There is a thing in the setup where you a choose "player attribute masking" this hides the attributes of players in lower leagues, forcing you to scout them.
I have bought Reee Tollenaere from QLD and he's my leading goalscorer .. also, Tommy P got a wrist injury against KFC .. how bizarre!

I restarted and started proper.
Its July, I havn't had a game yet but I've been active in the transfer market.
The first thing I did was extend the coaching staff, 2 Englishmen and a Swede and I signed Damien Mori as a player / coach.
Other than Mori, I made 2 big signings, Max Vieri on a free and Jade North for $30K (I felt sorry for him being a Jet). I also bought Con Blatsis, a 27 y.o defender from South Melbourne for $3K.
I've also listed Kwasnik for $10K.
Anyone know of any young guns that I can get for a free, maybe some Asian talent??
