Looking good! If we do get up, I reckon the squad is good enough to survive as well, assuming we make a few good additions which Blackie seems to be adept at and Leeds still have the pulling power to do. If not this year, then next.

Im sure that we will make some additions to the squad next year if we go up. A few will be cut i think, the likes of Wright, Marques, Einarsson might go. Healy, Hulse, Blake, Sullivan, Kelly, Kilgallon and a far few others are all capible of playing premiership football. I hope we keep Jonathon Douglas and Liam Miller!

Yeah, if we can just hang in there for a few years, and hold onto the likes of Killa and Walton, and the other half dozen teenage stars supposedly running around in the reserves now, we dont need to spend megabucks to have some really high quality players and some England internationals in our side.

Going on the form of the Wigans and West Hams this year, I reckon Leeds will do ok if they get back up. They will of course get new blood in there team, as every promoted team dose. I really hope they do get up.

As do i! Im suprised how well West Ham and Wigan have done for themselves, and good on em. hopefully we can copy that next year. Walton will be a future England international if he keeps a good head on his shoulders

Who knows, maybe when we go up we can start keeping kids like that and start to buy the others back, starting with Milner and Robbo. Carson can be his backup!

Woohoo!
Next up away to that concrete palace JJB to face Wigan in the FA.
I bet they are scared, our form is better than theirs and their players aren't much better than ours.

Come on Leeds! I tink we might be ableto take Wigan if we play well, hopefully Blackie will name a full strength squad and normal formation unlike when we played blackburn! I would love to see some of the old leeds players come back (Milner, Robbo) it would be great! Stuff carson, keep Sully

Anyone know if that game is one of the games getting aired on ESPN? It was good to get Wigan, I dare say that'd be one side if you had to play a Premiership side you'd want, even if they have done well in the league.
Fantastic stuff going for us at the moment, we keep gettinng on these streaks and then losing one or two, I think we should go up probably on a playoff, 1st and 2nd are a while off but it's possible, it'll be great to actually see Leeds play again.

It will begreat to see them again. Personally i don't think 2nd is out of reach, still 20 odd games to go and Sheffield could have a bad run....anything could happen. If we go to play off i dont see anyone beating us out of the others. Its all looking good so far

I'd be desperate to avoid a playoff if possible, anything can happen there, and our big advantage is perhaps strength in depth which wont tell over one or two games.
Reading is long gone but we're 8 off Shef and I think thats very possible.

I agree but so far we have proved we can get results against all teams and I think we would be strong enough to win over two legs

Socceroo joins Leeds United January 6, 2006
AUSTRALIA international Joel Griffiths has reportedly signed for English Championship club Leeds United.
Griffiths has joined the club from Swiss outfit Neuchatel Xamax, undergoing a medical at Elland Road on Thursday, according to the Daily Mail.
Griffiths, 27, is on the fringes of the Australian squad in the lead-up to the World Cup in June, turning out for the Socceroos in the 5-0 win over Jamaica last October.
He has signed on with Leeds until the end of the 2007-08 season, after the Yorkshire club stepped in as he was about to trial with Scottish club Hearts.
Leeds, formerly the home of Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell before going into financial meltdown that forced the sale of its players, is challenging for promotion to the Premier League, currently sitting third on the Championship table.

That sounds like a very good move for Joel, and to a club that clearly has a big following still in Oz, for obvious reasons. I've always thought he was a good player, but it seems that when someone like Guus Hiddink takes notice of you and picks you in his national squad...others soon take notice as well. Now if Lindsay Wilson would just follow him...
