Team Pld Pts Charlton 20 28 Fulham 22 26 Newcastle 21 26 Everton 22 26 Aston Villa 22 25 West Brom 22 22 M'brough 21 22 Portsmouth 22 17 Birmingham 21 16 Sunderland 21 6
Thats the bottom half of the permier league table, with the Chelsea basically won the League the question is who will be Relegated? at the moment it is Sunderland, Birmingham and Portsmouth.
I think there is no doubt what so ever that Sunderland is going back down there isn't much chance of them staying up with 6 points after 21 games. I would expect both Birmingham and Portsmouth to go down as well but i wouldn't be surprised if Middlesbrough or West Brom end up in the bottom three

Sunderland 100%, Birminghan have been shite this season and do not deserve to stay up I think they will go.
I would not be surprised to see Harry work some magic and keep Pompey up, they have also got a couple of decent new signings from Spurs so depending on how long it takes them to gel could be a factor too! Boro have been another real inconsistent team and as we all know motivation and injuries in the camp is not great. West Brom are a bunch of fighters and grind out some unexpected results, yet could easily get dragged in even further.
Here's the run in's from April.
Boro
Apr 1 MC(a) Apr 8 NEW(h) Apr 15 POR(a) Apr 17 WH(h) Apr 22 MU(a) Apr 29 EVE(h) May 7 FUL(a) May 31 BOL(a)
Pompey
Apr 1 FUL(a) Apr 8 BLA(h) Apr 15 MID(h) Apr 17 CHA(a) Apr 22 SUN(h) Apr 29 WIG(a) May 7 LIV(h)
WBA
Apr 1 LIV(h) Apr 8 AV(a) Apr 15 ARS(a) Apr 17 BOL(h) Apr 22 NEW(a) Apr 29 WH(h) May 7 EVE(a)
Birmingham
Apr 1 CHE(h) Apr 8 WIG(a) Apr 15 AV(a) Apr 17 BLA(h) Apr 22 EVE(a) Apr 29 NEW(h) May 7 BOL(a)
My bet would be Sunderland, Birmingham and (big call) Boro! April 15 will be a big 1

West Brom Pompey and Sundlefish WBA and Pompey just have no good players! Just because you have good players doesn't mean you won't get relegted, you must remember Leeds a few years back! Kewell, Viduka, Smith, Robinson etc. Do you also remember when Bradford stayed up in their first season? or WBA last season? Teams who had not so good players yet managed to survive! But yes both WBA and Pompey are in for a fight! How well your coach motivates the players is all so important as we all know.

West Brom Pompey and Sundlefish WBA and Pompey just have no good players! Just because you have good players doesn't mean you won't get relegted, you must remember Leeds a few years back! Kewell, Viduka, Smith, Robinson etc. Different kettle of fish. Those were 4 of our worse players from a couple of years before that. They were too good to go down, but there was no team left around them. Teams like this years Middlesborough haven't had player losses like that leeds and their balanced squad, with patches of brilliance from guys like Downing and Yakubu, will be enough to stay up i think. Of course teams with stars can still go down, but my predictions are the teams without stars nonetheless. EDIT: also if you look at early threads I have been predicting Pompey and WBA to go down since before the season started. Most others said wigan!

There were major financial issues at the club which was the main problem, but as well as the players mentioned they had Harte, Mills, Johnson, Milner, Matteo, Radebe etc which were still good players.
When Leeds did so well in europe they had Harte, Martyn, Kewell, Bowyer etc and the likes of Smith and Robinson were emerging from the youth team.
I can't agree that Viduka was crap at Celtic 2 years prior, or that Kewell was poor when they beat Roma etc.
but the fact that the club were in major finanical problems was a major factor.

financial issues alone dont make the players shit, but you're right.
it was the loss of dacourt, ferdinand, keane, woodgate, bowyer, and others in the sales plus batty, radebe, bridges johnson and bakke through injury that killed us. look at what losing vieira has done to arsenal, we lost BOTH our central mids AND our two centre halves. hehe, as donny parkes told me, harte was always rubbish and slow and it was our weak fullbacks that were our only weakness!
The players there should have been good enough but changing managers seemingly monthly, the fact there was no money, and the fans rightfully hating everyone at the club bar the players almost made it inevitable that it wouldnt work on the field. Viduka faded in and out playing up front by himself that last season but Kewell never looked interested, and even Smith looked as though he was already thinking about his next move. Going down was destiny and the club still existing is a major miracle.

Birmingham got their biggest win in the top division for 28 years, too little to late perhaps, by the way it's not premiership but what about Leicester, league one? talk about on the slide.

sunderland are woeful - premiership - you're having a laugh. Brentford should have put 4 or 5 on them but ended up getting 2 awesome goals to their fluke. I almost feel sorry for their fans (who could not be heard) though to be fair their players did not give up they were just rubbish
