just read today that roman wants to get more singing at chelsea, apparently he couldn't believe the noise when they played at Liverpool and feels the crowd need to be noisier. the reporter noted that at £45 a ticket ($105) the club was pricing the real fans out of it - with chelsea becoming the new prawn sandwich brigade.
fortunately the mariners are so well priced anyone can get to see them - well done a-league + mariners

Chelsea attracts the London fashionistas and glory hunters. For them its just another form of entertainment, like going to the theatre or a club. They have no attachment to it, and when Chelsea decline, if and when Roman gets bored of his real-life Championship Manager game, takes his money and runs, the beautiful people and glory hunters will move on elsewhere. Maybe no atmosphere is the price of success. Remember what Roy Keane said a few years ago about the 'prawn sandwich eaters' at Old Trafford. Must be weird for the old-time Chelsea supporters, the ones that go in good times and bad (e.g. the 80s, which Chelsea spent in the old Second Division, nearly went out of business and nearly sold Stamford Bridge). On the one hand, it'd be great with all the recent success, but it'd suck having lots of people in the ground chasing the glory and not singing etc. Maybe in a few years, with the Mariners dominating the A-League, we'll be whinging about glory hunters not singing and pushing up ticket prices

All seater reserved seat stadiums are to blame, the issues everybody has been talking about re singing at tomorrows game in Bogansville have also had a big impact on the atmosphere at most grounds in the UK. Although unfortunately for MM Boro at home probably made it even worst, as it is was never going to be most exciting game, unless perhaps your in the North East!

They are scum and will remain so. They dont sing because they are too dumb to know the words.
last time I went to Walham Green dog Track (they dont actually play in Chelsea - even the nearest tube is Fulham Broadway FFS) there was a guy in front of me with a swastica tatooed into his skull.
Needless to say, they are exactly the type of club that would attract someone who enriched himself at the expense of the poor russian oeasants (allegedly)
Rant over

that's a difficult one greenpoleffc, what if roman had bought fulham and you were on top, would you still follow them? it must be a bit weird for the swastika man to have a billionaire jew as owner, and their yid chants at spurs sort of loses something now too

And a good proportion of them in pubs/clubs around Stamford Bridge at any one time. If anyone's ever in London, and misses Troppo, go out in Fulham Broadway

i dont know......I went to Stamford Bridge at the beginning of the 01/02 season against Newcastle and felt the atmosphere was awesome, especially after going to Craven Cottage and Villa Park.
But NOTHING will ever compare to THAT game last November! Except a world cup match on Oz turf.

I think the opposition can sing something diffrent to Chelsea fans, insted of "You Only Sing When Your Winning" it should be " You Only Sing When Your Losing"
