You can only truly support one team, right- just like you can only truly love one woman (or man for the likes of melsy out there, and also the guys who bat for the opposition!) lol. But, just like everybody can't help but look at the female of the species whether in a relationship or not, everybody has other teams that they have a fondness for, for what ever reason. So, who are these other teams that you follow and what are your reasons for doing so (you could also add the teams you dislike!) Here goes for mine: 1. Gillingham- where i was born and spent my first 2 years, my dad's team. 2. Southampton- where my extended family on my dads side come from and also my twin brothers team. 3. Canvey Island- i have family there and my uncle is a big supporter. Overseas. 1. CCM (obviously)- namesakes, and as it turns out, their supporters are a smashing set of lads (and lasses)!! Teams i dislike: 1. Sc**thorpe Utd- bitter local rivals whose manager broke the cheekbone of one of our greatest ever signings which forced him to leave, when he was manager at BP. 2. Hull City- local rivals who bypassed us when we got relegated twice in a row recently. Voted the worst place to live in the UK- ha! 3. Lincoln City- County rivals and where i am currently at uni. Would love to give them a second hammering this season. 4. Sheffield Wednesday- supporters seem to think that they are "massive Wednesday" who should be in the champions league or something stupid like that, when they are in fact fighting a relegation battle in the Championship. Always trouble when we play them. 5. Sheffield United- this also goes for most Yorkshire clubs- d*ckhead supporters. Again, always trouble when we play them. Well that's it. It's really late here so i better get to bed. I look forward to seeing all the lovely replies in the morning!

Like: Central Coast Mariners - Obvious Qld Roar - Great supporter (except for 1) and I lived there for 2 years, lots of mates there.
Dislike: Newcastle - Shit team, shit fans, shit ground, basically just shit. Melbourne - I word, Muscat.
Overseas like: West Ham United - Just because Liverpool - Dont know why, have just liked them 4 ages.
Overseas dislike: Milwall - Bad rivalry, oh, and 1 word, Muscat. Charlton - Local rivalry, thats about it. Chelsea - Cos they buy all Hammers best players.

TEAMS I LOVE
Central Coast Mariners
Brighton and Hove Albion - supported them since the 1980s in the good old first division days of Alan Mullery. I still shiver when I hear "Sussex by the Sea"
West Ham Utd - supported them when I was 10 yrs old and had the replica kit (had to sew your own badges on in those days!)
Southampton/Portsmouth - South coast sides
DISLIKE:
Man Utd - everyone hated them in my home town
Arsenal - ditto
Leeds Utd - ditto
TEAMS OF WHICH I AM INDIFFERENT
Grimsby Town - no offence, but never been there, know nothing about the place, and nothing about the team!
Any team from Italy, France, Germany, Spain

This was a tv programme. Everybody on the local news kicked up a right fuss, especially the deputy PM who is from Hull. It made me laugh hearing him defend that awful druggie city as some sort of paradise.

Liking for Brighton as I also lived their in the early 80's. Newcastle (UK) now Sourpuss has gone. West Ham for the football they play
Loathe - Gillingham for the murder of a Fulham fan (and then their fans gloating over it). Spartak Chelsea for reasons too numerous to mention, Newcastle Jest for their manager, players and fans.

The ONE: Central Coast Mariners Football Club My OS club: Leeds United Partial to: Luton Town - Dad's club, but for this season we've been in the same division so less liked Grimsby Town - Mariners Glasgow Rangers - Anyone who knows me well would know why it's this one HATE: Scumcastle United Melbourne Manchester United Liverpool (just because of RV ) Arsenal Celtic

Support: CCMFC (obviously) OS: Forest - my dad's from Nottingham, used to watch them back in the 60s. I've been following Forest for as long as I've been following English football. Got to see them a couple of times last year, which was great, but shame it was in the third division Celtic - Dad's family from weegie Catholic stock, enough said Keep an eye on: Liverpool - of all the 'big' English clubs Sunderland Barcelona Deportivo La Coruna - have the most awesome looking ground: massive and right on the beach Napoli Dislike/hate: Scumcastle Rangers - see above Man United Chelsea - both too much money, killing English football Real Madrid Lazio - fascists

Grimsby's ground is 50 yards from the sea- though i'm guessing it's alot less picturesque than Deportivo's or CCM's.

Hahaha, Deportivo La Coruna, I had a girlfriend that got all hot when I pronounced that ina sexy Spanish voice. Likes - Locally: Queensland Roar, nice fans, nice strip, nice place to go, exciting football, no real threat to us Overseas: Leeds, have liked them since the Aussies were there, followed them through the tough times of late because it's more interesting than most sides. Haven't watched them so closely since the Mariners arrived and filled the void. Parma, the word is fun to sing (long story), more Aussies, turns out they have a nice strip. The Toon, what's not to like? excellent supporters, Alan Shearer who is now manager, Shay Given. Dont really have a Spanish club but like to watch Barca. Who wouldn't? I am also currently cheering for whoever is playing PSV in champions league to free up Guus' time. Dislike: Newcastle Jets, and to a lesser extent Melbourne. Man U.

duh: the yellows
others: of the big english clubs- liverpool - when they win something big, it means something big, for the others it seems more like "oh well, put it on the pile". and who could not love the kop? of the little ones - forest - thanks to 15 years of talking football with gialloblu (since we were wee lads!) of the littler ones again - grimsby - up the mariners!
don't really hate anyone in england - mk dons are a joke, chelski will find the chickens come home to roost when roman gets bored, man u are going through a long over due lean (sort of) spell. the arsenal teams of a couple of years ago played some glorious football (i could watch viera feeding perfect balls for henry to put a sublime finish away all day and all night) but the club has never seemed like much chop - particularly the highbury library. and nufc - never felt a thing either way. couldn't give a flying f***.
spain- barca - top ground, top team, beats franco's old club 3-0 and gets a standing ovation at the santiago bernabeu...
italy- meh... parma are blue and gold (same as my playing club - sydney uni, as well as the mariners), livorno are lefties, roma because totti is bloody good... don't really care though
germany - st pauli seem pretty cool, and are lefties to boot, but realistically anyone but hamburg (chockers with fascists) or bayern (you'd have to get bored of winning everything wouldn't you?...). dortmund have an awesome ground though!
scotland - meh... celtic park in full flight is a sight and sound to behold, though i've never seen it in person, and it's chockers with republicans who hate the monarchist nuts.

Teams I love CCMFC NUFC (we can still make Europe under the guidance of Roeder)
Teams that interest me on quite a low level. Quite low. Yokohama F. Marinos - I wouldn't mind upping my interest levels but hard to find results in english. Parma (Fun to sing) Grimsby Town Mariners
Teams I love to hate Sunderland - To any mackems- Relegation. nuff said. Newcastle Jets - Unfortunately my hate is curtailed because the success of the A-league depends on the Jets not crashing and burning. I still fervently hate the people of the Newcastle Region, except those who know better and support the Mariners.

Follow: Liverpool - For aslong as i can remember. Used to travel 8hrs every other weekend to be a kopite and every away match in London.
FC Barcellona - used to holiday in spain around time of venables/lineker/hughes. Since watched them a few times in spain. Ronald Koeman is still the greatest passer of a ball i have ever seen. The history of the club truly transcends football. England. Mariners. Exeter City - Home town club. Also got a big soft spot for the hammers after living in London for 5 years.
DISLIKE : Chel$ki and the special one.(respect not forthcoming) Manure ( but i respect them) Scottish Premier League. Argentina.

Fanatical Supporter of: Central Coast Mariners - quite clearly the greatest club in world football. Liverpool - The greatest club in English football. Have followed them since I was young. Nan was born in Birkinhead and lived in Liverpool.
Have a soft spot for: Everton - It's great to see both big Merseyside clubs doing well. Manchester City - They love to beat Manure almost as much as we do. At one stage recently they looked like an old Liverpool team.
Blackburn and Middlesborough - Purely for the fact they have Aussie players. Also add Parma and Leeds from a few years ago.
Barcelona - Have liked them since the days of Romario and Stoitchkov. A wonderful team to watch these days. Despise: Man Utd - Of course. Chelsea - Will be buying the title again this season but all the money they have still does not give them the beautiful football that Arsenal played a few seasons ago and Barcelona is playing now.
