More important than marriage By staff writers March 27, 2006
MEN are more likely to walk away from a marriage than they are to abandon a struggling favourite football team, research in the UK suggests.
Dr Sigman established that 94 per cent of men said they would never abandon their team, no matter how badly it performed, while 52 per cent would walk away from a relationship that was not working.
"If men showed the same fidelity, commitment, self-sacrifice and honesty towards their partners, the divorce rate would halve overnight," Dr Sigman, an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society, said of the results of the survey conducted for battery manufacturer Duracell, a World Cup finals sponsor.
Nearly 39 per cent of men questioned meanwhile admitted they had cried tears of joy or woe over a football match, he said.
And 32 per cent said the game had been instrumental in teaching them to bond with other men.
The survey also revealed men's devotion to football, with a quarter of those surveyed admitting they would miss a family funeral to watch a match.

I dont know that it proves football is more important than marriage, or that a good football team is easier to find than a good woman. They are two very different kinds of love, one is more instant and more everlasting that the other, and its made stronger by the bad times rather than the good ones. I'll have to do a little more research of both before I postulate further

so four smiley faces = cheekyness? Yeah, I'm guessing with these faces/emoticons. I think there's happy, winky, more happy, even more happy, angry, unhappy, cool, confused, eye roll, embarrassed, kiss, cry. I have no idea what these ones mean:
