BOLLOCKS!!! That is NOT a "b" team, by any stretch. Great players being wasted under a SHIT coach. England to do a France from 2002 WC, thats my bet.

I think they will still get out the group but the best they hope for is quarters I think. I agree thou - no way a B team, this could be the line up in the World cup if players get injured. Sven is a c**t - I'm glad he's going! McClaren aint much better!

They should have chased Hiddink SSSSSOOOOOO hard. Yeah, he aint English, and I know most English people wanted an English coach, but now that they have McClaren stepping up, would they swap him for Hiddink??? I think 80% of the country would say yes, or at least will when Russia beats England in a friendly 3-0.

Umm, being that half those players will at some stage play and or start in the world cup. If anything, its a half and half team.

well it's a b team from their world cup squad I guess, I would imagine their best team would be
Robinson Neville Cole Ferdinand Terry Beckham Gerrard Lampard Cole Owen Rooney
It shows to me that this is who Sven would call his A team, anyway.

yeh still a shit result for those players, i agree, but with only 2 first teamers starting the match and only one coming off the bench, it is definitely a B team.
that also means these players havent played together previously as the top players have through qualifying.
the belarusians were probably more solid collectively.
i agree with dj though, what a waste of a practise match! all he's done is give the back up guys a pointless run. if you want to bring the likes of lennon through as a player why not give him a run next to someone like beckham or lampard in a match like this and see how he handles it. same with carrick and jenas.

Rooney to miss England group ties
Wayne Rooney will definitely miss England's World Cup group stage games - after a scan revealed he cannot train for at least another three weeks. Rooney's club, Manchester United, confirmed the 20-year-old will require another scan on 14 June to determine when he can return to action.
If the striker's broken metatarsal is given the all-clear, he would have 10 days to get fit for a last-16 tie.
England have to decide by 9 June whether to replace Rooney in the squad.

Good luck making it out of the group England!
Remember 1 point is the best they'll get from Sweden.

1 player doesn't make the squad omni! that's like saying take Kewell away from oz, they have more depth too!
Bring in Defoe England - he's by far better than any Aussie striker other than Dukes!
Sweden have their own problems too!

if he's a good chance for the later stages, i would keep him in the squad. there are solid quality players like neville, there are players that can win a game by themself, like gerrard, but rooney is at another level altogether. he can carry one of the most expectant nations on his shoulders.
they should be able to get to the business end without him, and then they'd be kicking themselves if he became fit enough to play, even just a few minutes, in a world cup semi or final but they hadnt taken that risk.
worth the risk for a player that can not only do special things but also lift those around him. an aura that kewell will never have!

Rooney gets World Cup green light
Wayne Rooney has been included in Sven-Goran Eriksson's World Cup squad, BBC Sport understands. Rooney appears to have won the race to prove his fitness after breaking a metatarsal in his right foot while playing for Manchester United in April.
He flew back to Germany to re-join the England squad landing at Karlsruhe near Baden-Baden just after 2200 BST.
He had earlier spent two hours at a Manchester clinic while doctors studied the results of Wednesday's scan.
Football Association sources told the BBC unofficially Rooney is in Eriksson's final England squad for the tournament.
FA executive director David Davies had a broad grin on his face as he left hospital with Rooney before they drove to Manchester Airport.
An official announcement has yet to be made by either the FA or United - who announced on their website at 1945 BST that a "decisive" scan result "will be announced this evening".
However at 2245 BST the United website hinted an official statement might not come until Thursday.
But it does appear that Rooney has been given the green light by the group that spent two hours locked in the clinic at Whalley Range.
That group included United doctor Tony Gill and physio Rob Swire, England team doctor Leif Sward and other specialists.
It is also thought that an independent consultant from Fifa was on hand should there have been any conflict between Rooney's club and the FA - and it was reported that United lawyers were in attendance.
If Rooney is in the squad it will send the unfortunate Jermain Defoe of Tottenham, who had been on standby, back to England.
