I predict the grimsby boys to emulate their glorious southern mariners and steal a 1-0 away win before locking it up with a 1-1 draw at home.
good luck!

Cheers guys. An hour and 10 minutes until kick off. Living in Lincoln, i'm gonna set off in 10 minutes. Oooh how exciting! Missing out on promotion in the 4th minute of injury time on the last day of the season was hard, but surely if you were gonna choose a way to go up, it would be through the play-offs! Shame it aint guaranteed though. s2.excoboard.com/exco/thread.php?forumid=45999&threadid=807166To get me in the mood, i'm just gonna listen to this 70's anthem!

Wycombe went down 2-1 in the other tie but have been playing better away from home so the ties still not over!
I can't see Grimsby making a mistake in the second leg!

Mariners To Cardiff - Without Gary Jones
By Bill Osborne Date: 16/5/2006
THE Mariners are going to Cardiff after beating Lincoln 2-1 (3-1 aggregate) but will be going without the star of tonight's game after he was red carded in the final 2 minutes.
A sad finish for Gary Jones who scored both Town's goals in the 60th and 80th minute after Lincoln who came out on fire in the first half with Robinson scoring their only goal. Town came out in the second half seeming more determined and played very well to win.
The final is at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff, on the 27th.
Town fans will probably be hoping it is Cheltenham we will be meeting but that has not been decided yet.
A full report will be on here shortly.

Wahey!
Early estimations suggest that as many as 20,000 mariners will make the 5 hour trip to Cardiff a week on sunday. Can't wait! Played Lincoln off the park in the second half. They only scored because we lost our best defender to a head wound and were temporarily down to 10 men. Shame about Jones's sending off, the stubborn FA won't rescind it even though is was blatantly unwarranted.
;D

Looks like the Mariners will be playing Cheltenham, Wycombe couldn't manage a win unfortunately. Tough season for Wycombe thou after an explosive first half of the season, the second half saw one of Wycombes players die in a car accident, plus the managers wife died from cancer which really effected them - that's life but!
So it's Grimsby vs Cheltenham - Good luck Mariners!

I watched both legs of the Cheltenham Vs Wycombe semi-final, and there's no doubt that Chelts deserved to go through. 1 win, 1 draw, and 8 defeats in their last 10 games shows Wycombe's lack of form, and it was always going to be a tough ask for them.
Cheers for that DJ.
The future's bright, it's black and white!
Also guys, i purchased marinersworld. All those that are interested can have my username and password so that you can see all Grimsby's highlights from the past 5 seasons.
