1-0 west ham - liverpool with sloppy passing, west ham broke beautifully and with an angled ball into the box tempted carragher into the ultimately disastrous attempt at a clearance. liverpool look like they're just missing a little something.

half time - very lively game eh? breathtaking! west ham deserve their lead, but liverpool's last quarter hour was much much better than their first half hour! should have a cracking 2nd half.

liverpool win the shootout 3-2! reina with 3 saves! reina had a crap game til the last coupla minutes of extra time and the shootout.
2 cup finals for liverpool where they come from behind (twice this time) to tie it up at 3-3, and win it from the spot.

the 9 of us gathered at bear's house to watch it had a top time, thanks for the hospitality guys.
with my heart in neither camp, that was just a cracking match. the best match ive seen in ages. the only thing that stopped everyone from doing a backflip when stevie g did what stevie g did was poor old bear who wasn't very happy!

It was a fantastic final, that was one final worth staying up for. West Ham really took the game to Liverpool and i thought they had it in the bag. but that goal from gerrard was just unbelieveable, i still cant believe it.

Best FA Cup final for years! I was hoping for a West Ham win and I think they deserved it (just), but it wasn't their day! I'm so happy Gerrard is English, who needs Wayne Rooney if Gerrard plays like that in Germany!  |
