It looks like spurs are swooping for harry and liverpool might let him go.
There are four out the door for liverpool as reported on IC liverpool website: LIVERPOOL are on the verge of signing Blackburn’s Lucas Neill in a £2m deal.
On a hectic day of transfer activity, 28-year-old Neill is close to a move to Anfield while four squad players prepare for an exit.
Reds boss Rafa Benitez has moved to strengthen his defensive cover at right -back because Jan Kromkamp is due to sign for PSV Eindhoven.
Florent Sinama-Pongolle and Salif Diao are set to join newly promoted Spanish La Liga outfit Recreativo de Huelva. Youngster Neil Mellor is heading for Preston, while the Reds are also anticipating a possible swoop from Spurs for Harry Kewell.

8 hours to deadline and he hasn't gone yet - wouldbe a top result for him but do you think he will get as much 1st team time?
spurs are spending big money this time around but a real gamble. i think they'll stuggle to make top 6.

Jol has been after a left midfielder for a while, Boro won't let Downing go so he's looking at Kewell, the stumbling block is Kewells wage demands.
He would be down Tottenhams left wing every week, with him and Lennon down both sides I think that's a pretty awesome combination!

BIG-SPENDING Spurs last night sealed an £11.5million hat-trick — snapping up Steed Malbranque, Pascal Chimbonda and Mido.
Manager Martin Jol made his three-way swoop ahead of tomorrow’s transfer deadline.
(perhaps they won't get Kewell?)

i cant believe the amount of dosh tottenham throw around the place lately even for their standards i think signing kewell could be a risk cos we do have to face it he is good WHEN he is on the park. With spurs trying to sign a left player i think they really would want the security of someone regularly fit

Pongolle went today on loan and Kronkamp looks like he's heading to PSV, it's all quiet on the Neill front

Liverpool's Australian winger Harry Kewell has returned to Sydney for treatment on groin and foot injuries. He has failed to find the answer in Europe to the groin problem that has sidelined him since the World Cup and the arthritic condition in his foot.
The 27-year-old said: "I'm over here trying to sort out my injuries, we have tried everywhere in Europe.
"We have got to a point where we are trying Australia because it has got the best surgeons in the world."
Kewell hopes to have a prognosis on the injuries that have plagued him for the best part of two seasons by Friday.
But he revealed he was unclear when he would return to action for Liverpool.
Kewell missed Australia's World Cup second round defeat to eventual World Champions Italy with what was initially thought to be gout but that was later discovered to be an incorrect diagnosis.
He aggravated his groin problem in last season's FA Cup final against West Ham and the then Socceroos coach, Guus Hiddink, admitted Kewell was not fully fit for the group stages of the World Cup.

the latest on harrys groin: as reported in todays Sun Herald by parrott
Liverpool's injured Harry Kewell is sex mad, according to his wife Sheree Murphy. "He constantly wants sex as he thinks he can wear his groin out if it's being fixed," says the other half. (Mirror)
why not get groin fixed and play soccer or leave it and let the missus keep draining it dry
