Well, even now its not 100% solid in concrete. Hughes said he wont let him leave unless he can find a replacement.
This comment "People who have raised their eyebrows at me for making this decision are in for a surprise because West Ham have a shopping list of players which almost blew me away." is a bit exciting to. I reckon hammers will swoop for the duke next.

They might have a shopping list but the players have to want to go there. I hope for Lucas sake that they can pull it off but i am a bit sceptical. I thought they would have gone ahead after they signed Tevez and Mascherano but that proved to be a failure. I'm also a bit perturbed about Lucas not wanting to fight for a first team place. I don't think anyone should be assured of a first team place. What will happen at West Ham if he sits on the bench. Aren't they bringing in some other defenders as well.

It's a 2 part comment really, Lucas Neill states "I believe I will have the last laugh. People will soon be talking about West Ham in a very different way." lets break that down, "I will have the last laugh". Correct with an extra 30 thousand quid a week you sure will People will soon be talking about West Ham in a very different way." Correct, it'll either be West Ham the Championshio side, or West Ham the Survivors

is dukes on his way there too? Even before Neill was a consideration, im talking second day of the transfer window, Dukes was offerd a reported $150,000 a week to play for the hammers. I reckon now that Neill has signed, and the form Dukes is in, the hammers will grab him. He is scoring, and thats what we need now.

HE said he went to Upton Park because he wants play for a club where he will make an impact. I've also read that part of his decision was that there had been a "lack of interest" from Liverpool, claiming that he had never spoken to the people that matter at there.

Australian defender Lucas Neill says he was disgusted by the reception he received from Blackburn fans during West Ham's 2-1 victory at his former club in the English Premier League.
Neill was taunted by Rovers supporters while making his first appearance at Ewood Park since leaving Blackburn for the struggling Hammers in January.
"To be honest I was disgusted with that," Neill told the BBC.
"Five-and-a-half years at the club, 100 per cent commitment, I've never gone to the papers, never complained about anything and then, when I want to further myself for my own personal benefit, whether it be backwards, sideways or forward, I get the reception I get."
"I think it's disgusting because people have come here and been here only six months to a year, not worked hard, walked away with a pay-off, and here's me trying my heart out for five years and this is the reception I get, so I'm disappointed.
