The truth is that nothing Chavski buy will bring them respect or tradition.
Read up on Roman and no right thinking human could want to have anything to do with supporting them. Pity Putin is now onside or he would have been arrested and charged like the rest of his robber baron/russian mafia mates.
I expect Baroness Thatcher quite likes him though

ROMAN Abramovich, Chelsea's multi-billionaire owner, has never been afraid of splashing out on new players for manager Jose Mourinho ... at least not until this year.
But news overnight, that Abramovich has divorced his wife Irina, may explain why, much to Mourinho's annoyance, the Stamford Bridge purse strings were pulled tightly closed during January's transfer window.
A spokesman for the former Russia oil magnate said Abramovich and his wife "divorced in Russia on a consensual basis and have agreed terms in respect of arrangements for their children and a financial settlement".
He added that Abramovich's "corporate interests, including Chelsea Football Club" would not be affected by the proceedings, but just how many new players the settlement may have cost Mourinho is not clear.
Last week, Forbes magazine ranked Abramovich as the 16th-richest man in the world, with a personal wealth of an estimated $US18.7 billion ($24 billion).
Holy f*ck! She is going to be one very rich lady!

perhaps he might lose interest in chelsea? given his history he may try to leave the UK to avoid the 50-50 split of assets that is the law. They've supposedly already agreed on a settlement regarding finances and custody of their children. Here's proof: Roman Abramovich and his ex-wife have issued a statement stressing that the Russian's ownership on Chelsea will be unaffected by their divorce. Abramovich, thought to be worth around £10billion, bought Chelsea in a £140million deal in 2003, and has since invested vast amounts of money on the likes of Andrei Shevchenko and Didier Drogba as he bids to turn the club into European heavyweights. Yet there had been concerns among Chelsea fans that the divorce could strip Abramovich of billions of pounds and put into question his continued financial investment in the club. However, the couple have now allayed these fears after coming to a financial agreement. A statement on behalf of the couple said: "Mr and Mrs Abramovich have divorced in Russia on a consensual basis and have agreed terms in respect of arrangements for their children and a financial settlement. "Mr Abramovich's corporate interests, including Chelsea Football Club, are not affected by the divorce proceedings."

Oh no chelsea's owner is goin from $10 billion to $5 billion dollars boo hoo to him. Still has about $4.99 billion more than everyone on the face of this planet and frankly if chelsea can't make a profit on tv rights, merchandising and ticket sales some one needs to be fired because they would generate a lot of revenue.

Mourinho admits to Blues tensions Blues boss Jose Mourinho Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admits there are "tensions" in his relationship with owner Roman Abramovich.
Mourinho confirmed the problems came during the transfer window, when his plans were not backed by Abramovich.
He told a Portuguese magazine: "The team was on the limits, I was forced into constant adaptations.
"There were some problems to solve and if you see the owner of the club's money, you would expect those problems to be solved, but that didn't happen."
"I said, who am I to question the owner of the club - Abramovich is the almighty in Chelsea
" Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho
Mourinho said: "I admit that the period between the end of December and the whole month of January may have caused some tensions."
And Mourinho clearly points the finger towards Abramovich when he explains why new players did not arrive.
He added: "The reasons given for the club not to hire new players were the alleged problems between me and Abramovich, who even stopped going to the games, although nobody cared to ask why.
"I said, who am I to question the owner of the club. Abramovich is the almighty in Chelsea."
Mourinho also revealed that he had differences with Chelsea's powerful academy director Frank Arnesen.
He said: "We do have, here or there, our differences, but each one of us makes his job in an autonomous way.
"Arnesen is not a yes man. He has his own opinion - you can agree or not.
"We have a good personal relationship. Sometimes we cross in our job because it wouldn't make sense, Arnesen being hired to establish a scouting network on the world scale and me, as a manager, not to use it for the first team."

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has blamed the club's failure to buy anyone in the January transfer market on owner Roman Abramovich's marital problems.

But it doesn't really. Remember this thread started about the rift between them, caused by Roman not buying who Jose wants.
