Aahhh. This takes me back to fond nights behind the goals at the Newcastle Breakers! Thankfully in those days celery throwing was seen as harmless fun, and I was allowed (as well as others) to bring into the ground the odd crate of celery. www.abc.net.au/sport/content/200703/s1874468.htm

I think it's a good decision. No-one wants to see anything thrown onto the pitch at any game. Ever tried to throw celery on a hot Aussie night? You'd be lucky to throw it three feet! And what injuries a limp celery stick would cause.
