So, I'm awake early to get ready for my casual work at UTS, and I decide to watch my beloved Red Devils in the European Cup against Francesco's Roma.
As I write, 74,746 of the faithful are watching Manchester United's BEST EVER performance in Europe; its 7-1!!! Are you kidding me??
What a birthday present for Serious!! Red Devils across the Coast, United We Stand!!
Watch us now. An FA Cup final berth awaits, setting up a mouth-watering Final against the Russian Raiders, Spartak Chel$ki. Oh yes, we'll win the EPL as well.
Again, 7-1 Manchester United. It's all over now. Enjoy your trip home Roma.
From a joyous, even belligerent Auburn. United is life, the rest is mere detail.

Carrick scored 2 crackers, Ronaldo got 2, Rooney 1 and Smith 1. Can't remember who got the last?
EPL should have 3 teams in the final 4!
Why can't the English national side reach a semi final? lol

Incredible result. Not one I'm happy about but I must, begrudgingly, say well done.

Marinermick, you say it's because of the "non-english players contributing to the success of the better EPL teams". Just remind me how many English born players scored this morning.

If Hiddink coached England (or Scolari, or maybe even a Lippi or such) they would be in the top 4 of every major competition. It is the coach, and only the coach that does this.
3 english teams in the semis...

Marinermick, you say it's because of the "non-english players contributing to the success of the better EPL teams". Just remind me how many English born players scored this morning. carrick off passes from ronaldo and heinze, rooney and smith off passes from giggs. so 3, with assists coming from non-english players. but ronaldo was the acid that burnt the roma defence apart - he ran with the ball and it was all the roma defenders could do not to turn and flee in terror... i don't particularly like the lad, he dives too much and his ankle band things are dopey looking but he's a helluva footballer!

to jump in again - i think england is perhaps lacking top wingers like ronaldo and giggs... maybe they need to adopt a different style of play.
they did it before, when ramsay used the 4-3-3 for this very reason...

Should've switched to 3-5-2/5-3-2 years ago when it first became clear that CB and CM were filled with brilliant players, Ashley Cole was the best box-to-box LB in the world and SWP was playing as a wingback for Man City before he was then played out of position and now subsequently ruined at Chelsea. ---------------------------Robinson --------------Carragher--Terry--Ferdinand Wright-Phillips-----------------------------------Cole --------------------------Hargreaves ----------Gerrard--------------------------Lampard --------------Rooney-------------------Crouch

Now now Andy, just because the only thing you'll win all season is the League Cup doesn't mean you have to get narky. Re: the game?? Wow. C Ronaldo is some sort of demi-god from another world.

Found this quote on another forum. I thought it was pretty funny.
If we beat Roma 7-1, Pompey beat us 2-1 and Watford beat Pompey 4-2, that means Watford could beat Roma by 9 clear goals!
