(im looking at you fish, oh and by the way, how did your boys do last night???) I'll answer for Fish by saying that "they did fair alright with those CHAMPIONS MEDALS around their necks". ;D ;D ;D You might not wanna crow too loudly yet though, you've got a summer in court trying to prove that ugliest-man-in-football isn't as dodgy as they say. Enjoy!!!

Well what Topsy turvy season - fail to beat Watford in 3 games (2 at home) , get stuffed away by relegation rivals Charlton (4-0) and Sheff Utd (3-0) , then do the double over the Arse and Manure, winning 8 out of the last 10 games Roll on next season when we'll be pushing for 4 from the top spot not 4th from bottom! COME ON YOU IRONS!

i thought that was sc**thorpe, though same colouring... reminds me of the old joke, updated to today's tastes - what three football clubs have swearwords in their names? arsenal, sc**thorpe and f***ing chelsea.

Well exactly what I wanted happening on the last day happened Neill stays up and the Blunts go down I'm sure West Ham welcome the court cases, they can afford it far easier that Sheffield United could.

News Paper Headlines "LUCAS Neill's contentious decision to sign with West Ham rather than Liverpool was vindicated in dramatic fashion on the final day of the English Premier League season, as the Hammers beat the drop against all odds." Lucas Neill must have had his head up his a%rse for the last 2 weeks, coz Liverpool have just reached the final of the Champions League and finished 3rd in the league and he's spouting off that he feels vindicated that his choice of clubs has survived the drop. Life has many twists and turns, I bet he never saw either of the 2 things that have happened actually happening. He probably thought, nice an extra $500,000 for 6 months then off to another club once were relegated. Liverpool will never get anywhere this year and I'll sign for a new club once the hapless hammers are relegated and get a shed load of money again as a signing on fee. Well, they didn't and they did. I hope he stays with the hammers, because he's an average player in a poor team and he obviously wasn't up for the challenge of being fringe/average player in a good team. Never mind Lucas, think if all that extra spending money you've got for the summer.

I am VERY happy to see West Ham survive. I contacted Bear and he was over the moon.
Now, here's hoping they can get some more players and make a run for Europe next year.
Well done West Ham!!

Having a bad day are we? Tough. Not at all, I was mearly pointing out that Lucas Neill is a money grabber and has clearly taken the easy road by not challegening himself. As it has proved, he has played in all the games he has been fit to play for WHam, but he showed he was not prepared to fight for a place at the other club (which is now in the European Cup Final) I'm sure he's just realising the same thing, that he's got another season stuck in the smelly east end of London, in a crap team, but earning a bucket load of cash. But who cares, it's not like he's having too much of a challenge to get in his national team is it, yet again, he took the easy way when he had the choice of Australia or Northern Ireland, he took the easy choice. As the song say's, "it's all just a little bit of history repeating"

As a professional footballer, Lucas Neill would be pretty stupid not to maximise his worth on the transfer market, and consider the role he was being offered at any club. WHU wanted a proven, versatile defender to organise their defence and provide a leadership role in the first team - mission accomplished, relegation avoided. Just as Tevez was crucial in scoring goals, Neill was providing the defensive foundation it was built on. Liverpool wanted to add to their stable of european internationals for depth purposes and selection purely on the whim of Benitez. Liverpool always announce how they will be challenging for the EPL at the start of each season and always disappoint. Good luck to them in the CL final though. Personally I would find living in London preferable to the north west of England, be it Liverpool or Blackburn. The Northern Ireland trophy cabinet is hardly bursting with sliverware, only one of their defenders selected in the past year has EPL credentials, the rest are all from the 2nd & 3rd tiers of British football. WHU should be docked 2 points - that way it pacifies all the puritans and Sheffield still go down.
