Click on the related link to the right or the image itself to watch the video of Milan goalkeeper Dida being fairy-tapped in the face by a fan who ran across the park during AC Milan's 2-1 Champions League defeat at Celtic.
After initially looking to chase the intruder, Dida instead opted for a theatrical collapse which he carried through to the point where he was stretchered off.
Dida left the field with an ice pack held firmly to an area of his face that appeared to receive no contact at alll from the fan.
There's no doubt the fan should not have been allowed on the pitch, but the footage does beg the question: Is this the worst soccer dive of all time?
Here's what Milan vice president Adriano Galliani told Rai TV after the match when someone had the gall to ask him if the side would apeal the result based on the 'attack' on Dida.
"We will not appeal. It is a decision that I have agreed with the president Silvio Berlusconi. It is a decision we have taken because we are European champions and must behave like that."
Coach Carlo Ancelotti also spoke about the incident to reporters:
"When Dida went down it had nothing to do with the result anyway. We made a mistake with the defence," Ancelotti said.
"A fan must never enter the field of play but I don't believe Dida has done anything serious. Now I will see how he is."
Dida was struck by a flare in a Champions League quarter- final second leg with Inter Milan in 2005 and that match was abandoned and handed to Milan, who were 3-0 up on aggregate at the time.
UEFA's director of communications William Gaillard told the BBC it would wait for the referee's report before making a decision on whether to punish Celtic over the episode.
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan said he did not see the incident but a spokesman for the Glasgow club said: "Celtic will launch a full investigation and there will be a full statement tomorrow."
