This Euro Qualifier on Sunday morning our time is the very definition of huge....... Scotland win or draw, they go through to Euro, whilst if Italy win, they go through. Just one thing: it's at Hampden Park. - youtube.com/watch?v=ybxfZoT6VHQ&feature=relatedGO SCOTLAND, F*CK ITALIA!!!! For those of us with Fox, ESPN are carrying the game, 4am Sunday. P.S. True footballing justice will be served. England AND Itaky to bomb out in the same week. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah. P.P.S. If Scotland get in, Lawrie and Fergie are going to be so fired up that it will flow on to the Mariners and we'll do Perth 5-0 at minimum.

See, I'm not a big fan of the Italians, but if Scotland qualify and England don't, I will cry.
Scotland qualifying would be ridiculous, and no doubt nobody would be safe from the jocks bleating on about it.

Well, it's half an hour after full time....my thoughts have calmed down enough for me to write a post that doesn't involve the referee and blunt instruments.
Firstly, congratulations to Italy - all the best to them in Euro 2008.
Secondly, kudos to the lads for a brave effort. It was always going to be hard to beat the World Champions, but we came a damn sight closer than a lot of supposedly better countries will. To have even got within sight of qualification was a tremendous effort.
As for the game, we certainly created enough chances, but then Italy had a few of their own. We probably got out of jail with Di Natale's 'Goal' and Oor Barry's equaliser, but exactly what the <INSERT STRING OF EXPLETIVES> was the ref drinking when he decided to award the free kick that lead to Panucci's winner???!! If anything, it should have been our foul.
Anyway, it wasn't...they scored, they won...end of story - bu-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-ger!

As a Pom, may I just say how we all laughed at the Sweaty's failure to qualify.

The response from Scotland has been fantastic!
Calling the Italians cheats... I think Scotland were let off many more times than the Italians =]

As a Pom, may I just say how we all laughed at the Sweaty's failure to qualify. And, as a "Sweaty", may I take this opportunity to return fire and don my incontinence pants, as I p**s myself laughing at the England result. Sorry Greenpole & Smog, but what goes around comes around......
