I am now at Singapore airport waiting for my connecting flight to Mumbai.
They have free high speed internet here which is way cool.
Singapore Airlines is just comfortable.
I just changed A$400 for 12000 Indian Rupee. lets hope this gets me a long way.
I don't know when I can back on the net for India and I havew two minutes left so good on sunday guys.
Wow, so many logged on.

Hi guys
I am sitting in an internet cafe in Mubai across the road to my hotel.
It is a broadband connection and very quick. I've been trying to get Telstra to install broadband at Tascott for a year now with luck. Go figure.
Anyway its cost 15 cents for one hour.
Mumbai is both insane and amazing. A city bigger then the population of Australia and there are people everywhere.
We got in at about midnight (5am aussie time) and the airport was packed.
We crammed three people, three large suitcases and some carry on luggage into a taxi the size of a hyundi getz yet probabaly made in the 1970s.
The cab was chaos and traffic here is chaos. No one follows any road rules, the roads are packed but it all seems to work.
I don't know how but I have not seen one accident as the roads are also pretty bad.
The size of Mumbai is just mind blowing. Buildings everywhere and some of them very tall.
The poverty is beyond belief and people just line the streets everywhere. There are people selling all sort of things and they just hassle the shit out of you constantly but you just take this in your stride.
We hired the hotel car (very nice) for a drive around Mumbai and with a driver for six hours it cost us $25.
He took us all over. Everywhere there is flat ground people are playing cricket - mostly kids.
We went shopping this morning. Lamese bought a full length tailor made leather coat for $80.
We went to the massive outdoor laundry and this is one of the most amazing sites I have ever seen. It was this vast area of just tubs where people wash clothes.
I am now off to have some dinner. There is a decent bar around the corner where if you buy beers they just give you food. Beer is about is about 30 cents.
Go the aussies tonight. I think I will wake up at 2am and wander down to this internet cafe as it will still be open. Mumbai never shuts down.
Cheers Mick

Sounds so interesting but remember not to buy too much too early because you have 11 more weeks to cart it around!

I am currently sitting in Vienna Airport waiting for my connecting flight to Athens and using the wonderous technology of airport wireless.
I am a little buggered as we had a 5pm (10:30pm CC) flight from Goa to Mumbai, then a 1:30am (7:00am) flight from Mumbai to Vienna, now I have to go to Athens and won't be there till 1:30pm (10pm CC time) making it a 24 hour journey.
However, i was perked up at the airport when I saw Recoba get off a flight from Australia in a gate near me. I gave the big "Go Australia" and he just looked at me and kept walking.
There were a couple of blokes in Aussie scarves on that flight so I chatted with them.
I have spent the last three days in a catatonic state on a beach in Varca, Goa.
The place is amazing and as good as Fiji is this place shits all over it becuase the beaches are amazing and the food and drink are so cheap. After drinking copious amounts of alcohol and food for three days our bill ended being just over $100 for three people. 650ml long necks of Kingfisher Beer was about 80 cents.
You can buy bottles of Old Monk Rum for 100 rupee and it shits all over bundy.
We also went to a flea market on the beach at Anjuna and the place was crazy. They just hassle the shit out of you for everything. Most things we bought like good jewellery and nice clothes were bargained down to around 100 rupee (about $3) each.
Weird coming from India to sterile Austria where people don't say a word and no one is hassling you to buy their wares.
India rocks - eye opener but so recommended. Can't wait to go back and do it properly. It is very draaining however becuase of the stark reality of poverty in the place. I think I have spent more money of people begging then I have for anything else.
Anyway go the Mariners tonight. With Gumpy now out ity will be a massive effort if the boys get up.
Cheers Mick

Good to hear you're having a great time. 2 CCC seem to be doing well and we saw them in Melbourne yesterday. Must have been the fantastic away support that got us over the line yesterday . TAKE THAT RECOBA!

Hi guys
Sorry for the delay in updates. Getting net access has been a struggle. Dead easy in India but difficult in Greece, Denmark and Dublin.
Just woke up this morning and am listening to the 2CCC call over the net of the Perth game - happy days.
Went to Chelsea and Middlesborough yesterday and the whole afternoon was incredible. Pub beers before, walking to the stadium and then watching the stadium fill up. Not a fantastic game and Chelsea dominated but it was so awesome.
Too many things have happened but highlights so far: - Greece and having souvlaki three meals a day. The food is awesome in Greece - Driving in Greece and especially Athens - one word CHAOS - All the amazing ancient sites in Greece - Celebrating Christmas a month early in Denmark. These people are so nuts about Christmas - Watching the sun set at 3:30pm in Denmark, walking about Copenhagen and it is about -4 and thinking that this place is not so bad - Guiness Brewery - Getting to Dublin and going straight to an Irish pub and chatting with the crazy locals - Guniness Brewery - Guiness Brewery - Stonehedge and Glastonbury
Go the Mariners v Perth

That's ace Marinermick- you're obviously enjoying yourself.
I aint even been to Stonehenge- and i'm a pom! Is it as enchanting and awe-inspiring as it's said to be?
You should get yourself to a lower-league footie match (much better than that plastic premiership crap). Wycombe- DJ's other team are currently dominating the Third Division and they're just 20 miles from London. Also in the London area are QPR (13th, Div 1), Millwall (24th, Div 1), Southend (3rd, Div 2), Brentford (Shelleybeach's team- 4th, Div 2), Leyton Orient (3rd, Div 3), Barnet (14th, Div 3), Grays (2nd, Conference).
Brentford, Southend, Leyton Orient and Wycombe are all playing at home this Tuesday (19:45 kick-offs).

Hi all
Currently in Rome.
It is ironic that I woke up an hour ago becuase of a text from Auburn saying that VSU has been. Ironic in the sense that I am visiting the Vatican today and the legislation went through becuase of the vote from Family First senator f***wit fielding.
I hope his Christian conscience weighs on him on how many people he has made unemployed and all of all the disadvantaged students who will no longer be able to study becuase of the support services student unions gave.
Was interested in the CCSA Events Manager job but saw that they pay $35000. Who are they trying to kid - that salary is a complete joke.
Italy has been incredible and my Italian has held up surprisingly well.
After flying from London to Nice we stayed there a day and drove along the coast through Monaco, Monte Carlo and San Remo, then on to Pisa and Florence. The drive was spectatcular.
We did the leaning thing in Pisa but Florence just blew me away. The most beautiful city with some amazing treasures. The art alone is just incredible.
Driving has been interesting but I have learnt that the key is to never stop. Your accelerator is the most important weapon you have. Brake and all chaos errupts.
Hope all is well and you guys do well in the charity game. Really spewing I can't play.
Will be watching the draw tonight on tele.
Ciao Mick
