I wouldnt be surprised if he does go over there, he wont get too much of a run on the first team but Guus would probally like to see how he plays or somethin like that

It'd be a chance for Guus to see him and even though he's been in a scoring drought until Friday he's been a solid player, dunno if he's class enough for PSV but Guus is keen to make it PSV Australia and it gets rid of a dangerous opposition striker.

PSV set to poach Archie SBS
Melbourne Victory star striker, Archie Thompson, could be joining Socceroos coach Guus Hiddink at Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
The international transfer window opens on January 1 and Thompson, like several local based players, is looking for a move to help boost his chances of making Australia's 2006 World Cup squad.
Thompson's manager confirmed to Toyota World Sport that negotiations are taking place. His personal terms have been tabled and now the ball is in PSV's court.
The deal would see Thompson join the Eredivisie champion - which also has Australian midfielder Jason Culina on its books - on loan during the January transfer window, with a view to a permanent move at the end of the European season.
Melbourne Victory officials have refused to comment until PSV has made a firm offer.
Thompson is currently locked in to a four-year contract reportedly worth more than a million dollars.
Socceroos and PSV boss Guus Hiddink has told Dutch reporters he wants to help the 27-year-old stay match fit ahead of Germany 2006, and for good reason.
There's a considerable gap of up to four months between the end of the A-League and the start of the World Cup in June.
For other Australian based World Cup hopefuls, it's the same story.
Sydney FC is investigating how to help Trinidad and Tobago captain Dwight Yorke best prepare for his country's first appearance at the finals.
Scottish Premier League club Falkirk could be his next destination although Sydney FC has stated that no club has made any approach for the 34-year-old.
Perth Glory midfielder Simon Colosimo, who's been linked with Austria Vienna and Central Coast defender Michael Beauchamp are also looking for solutions in Europe and possibly Asia.
"To be honest I've had a chat to my manager and we are looking at going overseas for that period of time but whther that comes through or not I'm not sure," Beauchamp revealed.
"Otherwise if I do stay here I hope that something is done for the local boys in case we do get the call-up to the Socceroos for Germany."
At the very least, fringe Socceroos will take part in train on squads, under the guidance of Hiddink's asssistant, Graham Arnold, once their A-League commitments are over.
Realistically there's no comparison between that and the high-level, big match experiences that a club like PSV Eindhoven can offer.
But if Thompson goes, the A-League's loss could ultimately be the Socceroos' gain.

Thompson set to leave Victory January 2, 2006
ARCHIE Thompson is expected to announce today that he will leave Melbourne Victory to play with Australia coach Guus Hiddink's club PSV Eindhoven.
The striker, currently standing in as captain for the suspended Kevin Muscat, will reportedly move now the transfer window has re-opened, Sky News Australia reported today.
Thompson, who has impressed Hiddink in the Socceroos colours, said yesterday the move would be a "dream".
He'll also join international teammate Jason Culina at the Dutch league champion.
One A Melbourne newspaper reported on Sunday that PSV would initially take Thompson on a six-month loan, with a buy-out clause if the move proved successful.
"It would be great to get a transfer to a big club like PSV. I think it would be a tremendous career move for me.
"It's always been my ambition to try and play for one of the big European clubs, and PSV are very successful and are playing in the Champions League," Thompson told the newspaper.
