How many are interested in going to all 5 days of the Sydney test in Jan 07?

I'll defiatley consider it, a 5 day pass is apparently the equivelent of buy tickets for 3 days which a few years ago was $150ish.
DJ won't be allowed, if the Barmy Army's conspiracy theory is right, they'll stop poms at the gate.

I probally will just try and go to one of the days but it is probally the most awaited Ashes ever, its going to be good to see the Aussies bring the Ashes back even though they stay in england no matter who holds them.

I have my residency visa, maybe I should get my aussie passport now as I am eligable Us poms always find a way. Just wait for the world cup in Germany too, half the stadium will be white and red Don't you agree Red

Then again, its hardly surprising, given that this sunny island is a colony of the empire afterall........

I'll become a proud Aussie on the 26th, but come the Ashes I'll be going for the Mother land, it'll be all over come the Sydney test so only Poms will want to go!

Why would the poms want to go after they'd already lost? Is this the shortest break between Ashes series in the modern era?

No it's always 18 months between England and Aus, then 2.5 years between Aus and England, it's because of the opposite summers.
BTW - England will be 3-1 up by the Sydney test. ;D

I dont think so, it usually is the same, a series in summer over in england and then next season its a summer series over here usually the same, in 18 months after the ashes series this year its back over there again

ah, the 2001 ashes series...
still a uni student, sat on the couch til all hours watching days of recycled highlights because it was raining interspersed with gems like thommo not realising he was on camera while standing in the rain and calling to someone off camera "get me a f***ing umbrella! i'm f***ing drowning out here", noticing the red light on the camera and giving the mother of all sheepish grins...

I was in England for the 2001 Ashes - saw Australia win at Lord's and Ricky Ponting smash 100 in a day against Somerset.
