You have to be kidding me........ From foxsports.com.au
Hat-trick in first over of Test January 29, 2006
INDIA left-arm seamer Irfan Pathan completed a sensational hat-trick in the first over of the third and final Test against Pakistan today.
Pathan had Salman Butt caught at first slip by Rahul Dravid with a sharp outswinger, trapped captain Younis Khan leg before with a sharp inswinger and bowled Mohammad Yousuf with another big inswinger to leave Pakistan reeling on 3-0.
Pathan took wickets with his fourth, fifth and sixth balls to complete the 35th hat-trick in Test history.
Advertisement: Off spinner Harbhajan Singh is the only other India bowler to take a Test hat-trick, against Australia at Kolkatta in 2000-01.
What are the chances IN THE FIRST OVER??? F'ing hell, at least he wasn't English!

on the back of this hat-trick it appears that this game might produce a result finally after the run-fest of the first two tests

Sri Lankan fast bowler took a hat-trick against the Zimbots in his first over, the second over of the Test Match, in a Test in Harare in the 2001-2 season.
Chaminda Vaas, whose full name is Wirasuriya Pentabendige Usantha Joseph Chaminda Vaas, took a hat-trick against the Bangos WITH THE FIRST THREE BALLS of the match in a World Cup match in South Africa in 2003.
Question for you; name the Aussies CURRENTLY playing first-class cricket who have taken a hat-trick AND/OR scored a triple ton at first-class level:
I'll start:
Shane Warne Glenn McGrath
Michael Hussey Matthew Hayden Brad Hodge Martin Love Darren Lehmann
Please post if you have more.
