What a race last night, feel bad for Buster (Mottram) ran the race of his life but kicked too early. Was an awesome race, and the 5000m as the headliner on the same night as the 100m amazing!
Great job by the womens MR team? Yea apart from Lenton's stupidity that really should of had them DQed and that WR void, if it was in any other country it would have been a DQ, disgusted.

What a truly disgraceful exhibition of Australian sportsmanship! I'm talking about both the men's and women's 4x400 track relay.
Although comprehensively beaten by the English runners, the women lodged a protest over the positioning at the changeover point. The positioning is aparently governed by the order of runners at the 200m mark. The Australian at the changeover point should have been closer to the inside of the track than the English runner, but the positions were reversed. Tamzin Lewis was aware of this but chose not to say anything about it till the end of the race. Even though Australia was not disadvantaged by this 'technical' infringement, England were disqualified and Australia went from 2nd to 1st. I did notice that Jana Pittman seemed uncomfortable about the whole business at the time and appeared very cool towards Lewis. Was something going on?
In the men's race it was a lot more blatant. The Australian was simply using ugly and aggressive tactics to muscle the S African runner out of the way, and in turn disadvantaging the other runners who were also being jostled. Australia won gold and a protest was dismissed.
It shows me that the games officials are to scared to rule against Australia.
These medals are worth nothing!

Lewis & Pittman have been having a battle for a while, they do not get along.
Tamsyn couldn't do anything about it untill after. The English broke the rules and were disqualified, fair enough I thought.
The mens is a part of track athletics, it happens (you don't see anyone calling for a rerace of the 1500 after an English hand pulled down Mottram), I didn't see it so won't comment.
A disgraceful display of English sportsmanship was witessd at the shooting in the Women's double trap, when the English woman shot in the wrong order, which she knew, and then proceeded to protest she wasn't told, the protest was up held and she robbed the young Australian of bronze.
The Aussie Womens Medly team should have been disqualified for leaving the pool early, Asafa Powell should have been disqualified for breaking lane in the 100m, the officiating in these games has been pretty poor.
As for the medals being worth nothing, that's certainly the case here, we finished with 221 of them compared to England's paultry total of 110.

So happey they're finally over. Watched some but was bored with most of the coverage.
One rather disgusting thing I heard about on the ABC's Offsiders show: Apparently there was an offical out here by invitation from Sth Africa or some place far away to present medals for some womens walk event.
An hour before the ceremony he gets dumped for Steve Bracks simply because Australia gets 1, 2 and 3 - Disgraceful!!
Anyway, like I said, glad they're finally over.

No doubt the underwhelming experience of the games in general has generated zero interest.
