...as to play basketball. rolled my ankle last night pretty badly (nothing went 'snap' but it swelled up within a minute and i couldn't/can't walk) when i clipped a guy's heels playing mixed basketball with ally and some other mates, now i'll probably miss the end of the football season...   |

not if i'm not moving around! ;D went to the hospital basically because that's the place to get x-rays etc on a sunday night, and actually felt like a bit of a malingerer sitting in a waiting room with ally (she's a champ) reading the paper with my foot up etc. while there were others in there with badly broken arms, a guy who had a suspected stroke, really sick kids and a dude who was bleeding from what appeared to be a head wound... and then i got up and had to suppress the urge to swear loudly in a crowded room!  it's a pissy injury on the face of it but it's farking annoying, not least for the fact i was meant to be in canberra this week but now have to go next week and may miss the socceroos game... |

Mate, that's not a pissy injury, I'm guessing a pretty bad sprain?

Dibo, get well soon mate, I know how bad ankle injuries can be! Time for you to set yourself down in a comfy chair with the foot up, in front of the TV with the remote and heater handy, and call up some sooky time with Ally. I'm sure Ally would love to run you hot coffee and bikkys, and help you up when you really need to move.  |
