Fark me, can I go back to Year 9? geography or history - solid subject to go on with drama - useful skills for the workplace or Bay 16 outdoor rec, or physical activies and sports studies, or are you up for competitive sport? But thats just me!

I'm pretty sure when I was in year 9 you could only pick two electives.. Having said that it was 12 years ago
Maths, english, history, geography PE were compulsary. I chose Food Tech and Music.
There was also another elective which you did for two terms. From memory I chose rock band for two terms and I can't remember much else. I know I did alot of dance ensemble and rock eisteddford. daggy, i know.

don't choose food tech if you just want to sit there and eat, unfortunately it doesn't work like that other than that just pick something you will enjoy... photography, sport, art... IT software

IT software Adz is right. Pick something you enjoy. Year's 11 and 12 is a better time to focus on your future. Meanwhile, subjects I did in 11 and 12 have nothing to do with my career now.

The most important question is are you going through to Year 11 and 12?
If you are then you should pick subjects that have continuity.
If not, and you are going to leave at the end of Year 10 to do a trade, then pick subjects that will help you in that trade.
If you want to do metal fabrication as a trade after year 10 and eventually want to own your own business, pick metal work and Commerce and something else for fun.
Don't pick things just because you think it will be a bludge if you don't have the skills - don't, for example, pick Drama if you can't act - you'll end up bored sh*tless and in constant trouble for not doing work.
Don't pick Information Tech & Software if you don't know how to use a computer. Don't pick Dance if you can't dance.
If you're fit, into football and enjoy your sport generally you should consider Physical Activities and Sports Studies.
Music is good if you can play an insrument - obviously.
Photographic and Digital Media should be the precursor to Multimedia (the Year 11 and 12 subject) which is good as long as your not lazy. Advertising, short films, photography, etc.
Try to develop skills your already have or pick subjects where you know you will apply yourself so you can learn new skills

Well, i picked mine last year, i got 3 too. what school are you at leah? Becuase apparently few schools actually get to pick 3, luckily i go to a hole of a school that lets us choose 3. I picked Visual arts, agriculture and marine studies which is a 2 year course and goes toward soem hsc crud or something. if it was that list id choose: history photgraphic and digital media visual arts
Music would also be an option, despite my lack of talent and the fact i am limited to the guitar, keyboard and recorder (if you count that as an instrument!)

Marine studies was cool, i did it in year 11. (only so i could go deep sea fishing and it got called off). Business studies is also good if that what you want to do when your finished school
